I don’t think it actually is any of those because as you can see here it’s way too close to reptilian, I have to imagine it’s for something else.
If you want to hear my absolutely insane theory I have to say the leaked design completely avoids crossing the middle of the area, which almost makes me wonder if they could possibly be remaking the mountain or something similar. Also the launch tunnel is placed just about at the area where the haunted river ride used to drop out of the mountain. That single pylon would be too far over for the leaked design but perfectly placed for a mountain type structure.
Realistically it could simply be for much less grandiose theming but I don’t think this is for the actual ride.

You appear correct that it isn't related to actual footers which does bring up the question as to what it really is. I thought it was further in when spotting it through the fence and brush.
The metal tube is obviously still there, but the concrete pour in front of it is what I'm looking at being the 'footer'. It really looks like it has a set of 6 anchor bolts, 3 on each side; just like B&M does on occasion:

Yeah the concrete is separate from the tube. and looked fresh but it was taken on Saturday after the rain so maybe being wet was deceptive to the age.

I have to say while I don’t have a picture I saw it Sunday too after it had time to dry out and it still looked very fresh, I would imagine concrete sitting in a muddy setting like that for 3.5 years would be at least dirty or mossy to some extent
are those all new construction fences around too? looks like work is actually starting up
The fact that work is starting this early gets me excited that this could be an extensive (and well-themed) project. I mean even more extensive than the blueprints suggest
I’m at the park with my 4 year old every week so I thought it would be fun to follow the construction with little videos weekly. There was a lot going on today including concrete trucks on site.

I just took a new picture and realized the metal column is behind the concrete footer which does look very much like b&m
So much work going on today! They were pouring concrete as I walked by. Fun to see a little more progress
WOW! I, too, was hesitant to believe it at first (mainly due to the timeline, we're a full calendar-year out here...), but that sure does look like a newly-poured footer! And the one posted by @Haunted River appears to be a big one, too!

This is right behind the Icee stand. It’s wide and looks to be deep. Is it a tunnel they are building there?
With all the love and care put into JungleX themeing so far, I'd hope we see themed trains.
