@Zachary I noticed unlike the BGW leaks you b aven’t given this project a nickname. Let’s not forget your chosen nickname for DarKoaster ended up being right on the head! I guess we could just call it a Swahili word for some sort of bird just to see if we happen to guess what it is for fun.

If you want the PR-friendly, reasonable-sounding justification for creating project codenames for BGW and not KD, it's that projects at KD rarely overlap with one another so communicating what's happening to readers is normally far simpler than over at BGW where multiple projects are always in development in parallel.

I'll leave further speculation about less PR-friendly explanations to your imagination.

In the case of KD 2025 specifically though, ultimately, I have an immense degree of respect for and confidence in the creatives who brought us Jungle X Phase 1. I'm happy to let 'em cook.

I would love to see the official internal codename for the project leak out though. Always super fun to see those!

Eagle in Swahili is the word "Tai" Bird is "Ndege" Hawk is "Mwewe" Raptor is unfortunately just "raptor" and "Taji" is "Talon." Raven is "Kunguru" which would be awesome honestly but I doubt that they would theme it to a raven personally.

I mean google translate can probably help with other bird phrases but if they were to go this route my guess "Tai" or "Taji" would be potential candidates over the others.

Time to put on our theme park lore nerd hats for a second.

As much as I love the name Tumbili as both a clever play on the tumbling motion of the ride and the monkey theme, using a Swahili word was always a little bit of a head-scratcher to me. Swahili is an East African language, but early marketing releases for Jungle X stated that the area is set in the Amazon. There are also several maps of South America inside Outpost Cafe.

Notably, the marketing language changed from describing Jungle X as being set in the Amazon to the more generic phrasing of “deep, dark jungle” just a few days after Jungle X was announced. Maybe someone pointed out that Tumbili having a Swahili name made no sense if the area was set in South America.

So, I guess the question is, where does Jungle X canonically take place? Is it still in South America? Was it hastily changed to Africa? Some unspecified jungle on an unspecified continent that the park is hoping nobody thinks too deeply about?

If Tumbili’s name forced the park to canonically change Jungle X’s location to Africa, then a Swahili name for Project 2025 works. If it was just a one-off blunder, I’d hope for a name that isn’t Swahili.

Or, hear me out, maybe Tumbili’s out-of-place name could be made canon. Maybe Professor Winston Whey, who we are told visited landmarks and civilizations all over the world, was inspired to use Swahili because of his previous travels in Africa. Or maybe he got so lost that he didn’t even know which continent he was on.

Nerd hats off now.

Yeah I mean just because Tumbili used Swahili, I wanted to take the time to think of other languages that would achieve a similar effect but it’s year end currently and I ain’t got time for that but they could use other languages more associated with jungle environments as well if they make sense with the cohesion of the theme.

Does anyone think KD might paint the wall of flight fear to maybe match or do something else to mitigate the amount of pure white we are gonna be staring at when waiting in the queue? Or is there another way they could help with how large the building is?

I'm seeing something about electric car chargers added to the parking lot - don't think that's related to the wing at all?

Here's the PDF for the revised plan for anyone who is curious. I didn't pick through it with a fine toothed comb, but I don't see any notable, guest-facing changes reflected. Reading through the county's review comments on the initial filling, most all of their issues seemed to be formatting and whatnot—nothing substantive that would require any actual plan alterations. Seems like good news for the project's prognosis—should sail through without any issues.

If you want to see the original PDF, @MaxxForceFan posted it here.
