I can comment with great authority that the ride is glass smooth.
This a troll or? I just heard from a friend of a friend that rode it and that said the layout is solid but it shuffles arguably worse than Iron Menace and is headache inducing

You may be right but all we are hearing are games of telephone right now.

From my lone ride this morning, yes, it does have a significant rattle. I did not notice any large "potholes," just an overall weird roughness that does not exist on any other U.S. B&M wing coasters. However, it does NOT ruin the overall ride experience. The dive loop is the best element IMO, and the coaster's station and queue are themed very well.

According to my sisters, they say Rapterra is smoother than Gatekeeper, but rougher than X-Flight. I suspect size of rider in the restraint may greatly impact rider experience. The ride does not have any rough transitions like the entry into Iron Menace's break run.

There could also be a lot of variance between inside and outside seats since the outside seats are so much further from the center of any rotation/rattle. Would probably help if people included which their experiences are in.

I was in the front row, left side, and it was indeed the outer seat. My wife sat in the inner seat and she said "it wasn't that rough." Take that as you will (she's a recently adopted thoosie). I've ridden every wing in the U.S., and this was definitely the roughest experience. BUT, I would withhold judgement until you ride and do your best not to give in to thoosie groupthink; it is a great ride. She's an excellent addition to KD's lineup!

GateKeeper does have a definite bounce/shuffle in the back rows so that makes sense. Then again that ride is also coming up on 12 years old. Honestly as long as the launch is solid and layout punches with some good forces that’s all that matters to me. I absolutely love Banshee for its layout and positive G’s even though a lot of my friends hate it for the terrible shuffle, it doesn’t bother me at all. Same case will probably be for this ride. And this will still be a massive hit with the GP, who aren’t exactly aware of B&Ms history or their wheel tolerances/cheaper steel or what have you.

How’s the launch? Does it punch or is it weak and any comparison?

The launch is great, not a gut punch but it’s got some power to it. The launch + first element is the highlight, that is a seriously cool element, especially in the front.

I rode a couple times, inner and outer seats, back and front and they were all pretty similar. The most notable shuffle is during the flyover turn over the pathway, that’s the only part I’d say flirts with uncomfortable. Very comparable to Iron Menace. But it is far from the worst B&M. It’s a very fun ride.
