Let's hope.... I really hope AT LEAST it's open by September for when I go for Haunt, because if it's not, I'll prob just go to BGW or Caro instead.
And if KD gets huge crowds for haunt this year, it definitely wouldn’t hurt to have Pantherian running to take some people away from the main Jungle X areas. Plus the type of people who attend haunt (younger, more thrillseeker) are also the kinds of people who would typically take on Pantherian with its reputation. It could definitely help the park out, and they can still market it into 2026.
I would also like to note that during Haunt, at the time it was i305, this attraction drew hour plus waits.
Last year, I went for my birthday, as I'll do this year, and yeah. The line was absolutely ridiculous. Glad I had Fast Lane!
Yeah Saturdays during Haunt are absolutely insane. I305 will have a full queue extending out past the tunnel entering the plaza.
Here's a picture I took back in 2013 on a Saturday during Haunt. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I think this was the same year the ride was down for a good bit of the season as well due to it's lift hill.
On saturdays sure. But on sundays when i go to haunt the line was never more than a 10min wait. I only went once a year on a sunday but in the last 10 years i never waited more than 20min for it. Saturdays everything is long. I don't think its very fair
Do we have any ridership numbers for this? I know it is a generally popular ride, but it is 15 years old and considered more intense than most coasters. Im really wondering if part of the reason for not many communications about this ride is due to the fact that only x% of park goers even ride it and only y% would make it a sole reason to come to the park.
Just got off Racer. Looks like everything on the motor is put back together now. Crane is gone.
It looked like the shelter structure was started, just the roof is still missing. I couldnt tell if they started wrapping the cable around the drum. It kinda looked like it wasn't. But it does seem like the heavy lifting is complete.
Just got off racer, the cable looks on the spool, looks like the roof of the shelter isn’t on but the rest seems on. I couldn’t tell if the cable was connected but honestly it looks just like it did that construction picture Brian posted minus the roof, I really hope it opens soon! Maybe a week or two?
Meanwhile, here I am stuck at Iron Gwazi which is having a rough set of downtime at the end of the day and has an even worse reliability record than i305. Could be a lot worse for us at KD.

When I rode racer later in the day the roof wasn’t on yet but there was three maintenance vans and one of these over there so they might put it on tonight
The cable at the base of the lift hill just outside the station has been slack, seen from Racer on Wednesday. I think this will be the first clue that it's in running condition. Pretty sure the cable should be tight like in this picture. So y'all should be looking down and to the left on your Racer rides too, not just at the motor and spool on the right. Please report back!
Racer is really out here getting more Thusie ridership than it has in years...
I love riding in the back car of racer and trying to analyze the situation of a machine I know relatively little about mechanically and then getting thrown up off the turnaround drop!
