If the crane is gone, does that mean the part is in or is it going to come back tomorrow and finish it?
I’m pretty sure they finished installing it

Yes, According to my sources, they will be testing through the night without the goal of opening tomorrow. If the crane is gone, does that mean the part is in or is it going to come back tomorrow and finish it?
Also is it just me, or is that test seat dusty AF?
God fucking dammitCrane is back up and at least 10 trucks and every bit of 15-20 people down under the lift now. Why does it feel like something isn’t going as planned with this repair?![]()
Lmao. Im actually planning on going to Virginia in October for another hobby and wanted to see about doing Kings Dominion at some point. But if Pantherian isn’t running. Not gonna bother. We're so sowwy. Pantherian will open in 2026!
Can't go over any worse then tearing down the biggest coaster in the world with no announcement at the end of your 50th.Ok, IF they push it back to 26, how big of a pr disaster would it be? Having your biggest coaster down for all of your 50TH anniversary season can’t be good for press right?
Minor at worst. Most people aren’t obsessed with a single roller coaster.Ok, IF they push it back to 26, how big of a pr disaster would it be? Having your biggest coaster down for all of your 50TH anniversary season can’t be good for press right?

Considering season passes are selling now, it's probably not a great idea to remind their customer base that this ride has been closed all year. Getting it back open keeps the season pass base satisfied enough and not considering negative things.Plus, the majority of the damage that would be done has already been done. Strategically, solely looking at things from a profit-focused perspective, it would probably be "most right" for KD to delay it to 2026. Most of the extended closure damage is already done to guest satisfaction numbers, there will likely be next to no attendance benefit achieved by reopening it with little fanfair if/when it's ready in August, and KD is unlikely to have anything significant to market in '26. Relaunching Pantherian in '26 would generate positive news for the park over the off-season and give them a "new-ish" attraction to "debut" next Spring.
I'm certainly not advocating for this, but I think it would be a rational business decision. Be thankful if/when KD doesn't succumb to this argument.
