I think it's really funny that they're not prepping the supports. They're just rolling black right over. Do not be surprised when you see yellow poking through in the next years.
The contractor did prep the supports for painting. Look at all the white spots/sections on both the supports and track. Baynum preps the surfaces by power washing and priming the areas of the structure where the metal surfaces might be exposed after cleaning them.

Plus, they are going from a bright color to black. No need to fully prime every surface. It would be different if going back to a bright color from black. Then there could be a high chance they would have to prime with a white or off-white neutral color.

Did not expect the lift supports to be that vibrant red... it's certainly a choice. The orange & black looks great though. Excited to see the look of the final product!
I believe the lift supports are supposed to be blood orange, which is more red with a tint of orange in it.

Do yall think with this retheme and cleaning up the ride that they also refirbish the trains with all new clean restrains and seats and stuff? They were starting to look beat

I wouldn't be surprised if it is at least discussed with the park higher-ups. But unfortunately, I'm not getting my hopes up since the concept art shows the old trains with the Pantherian logo plastered on them. I hope it's not that, but if they want to go the full 9 yards, I do support the idea of new trains.

All this train talk got me thinking about Pantherian's trains. Do yall think what's on the promotion is the final design, or something they just whipped up for the announcement? Cause im hopping for something a lil more Reptillian style, but if its just the logo I hope they at least add the Aztec-ish print along the side of the trains, or something along those lines.

Kinda surprised to see a roller, would think a spray application would be preferred here:

- Lower environmental impact with over-spray vs. dropped/flecked paint
- Easier to apply, especially for such a large and complex surface
- Less issues with surface evenness/over application

Guess roller may simply be cheaper/easier/less issue prone than I thought in some cases (knowing AC was painted with spray automotive paint for some pieces)...?

Alpengist and Griffon both had heavy use of rollers during their latest repaint a few years ago so it doesn't seem out of place in the industry even if it's surprising to many of us.

Rolling puts a better thicker coat on. Covers better 1st pass too, and either way spraying aint gonna work around all the bolts and stuff. And the paint they use doesnt dry very fast in the air.
