I imagine Pantherian works better (sans the Pantheon problem) for folks who have more of an understanding of the Jungle X lore. I keep seeing people say they should have just named it Panther or whatever, but a name like that doesn't actually work with the land at all.

I also suspect that this name will age far better than most people expect. I think these original, single-word coaster names often tend to.

The end of an era. Got my last rides today on Intimidator/Project 305 before it's officially Pantherian. Thought I was gonna miss out on night rides as it got stuck on the top of the lift before I got on, which you will see in some of these shots. Thankfully maintenance got it up and running not long after. Looking forward to see what the area will look like next year.

Heard this for the last time tonight. Say what you want about I305’s racing theme (I was never a fan), but man, that was the sickest dispatch audio ever. The end of an era.

Why are they painting black over orange?
What? The supports were yellow, now they’re being painted black.

I can’t lie, I really like the look of orange track over yellow supports in that first picture. I’ll hold final judgement till it’s fully painted, but I think I would have kept the lift supports yellow instead of that reddish-orange.

Might have been a yellow primer

That might have been a post they were testing the orange paint on. I feel like we did see that some.

I swear they are applying black shit to the already orange lift hill supports. I can’t figure that picture out. What am I missing?

My guy, it's just one of the regular supports (which were YELLOW) that the ride has had for 15 years. All they probably did was increase the saturation on the photo so it stands out more. It's really not some giant mystery.

Do not be surprised when you see yellow poking through in the next years.
Paint chipping? Nah, that's the secret Curse of the Panther breaking out from containment!!
