I fully believe that someone in the ranks has made sure that this is tested and ready to go so they can get a little extra Labor Day cash flow. Announcing the grand re-opening of this coaster in addition to what they’ve already opened earlier in the season would be a nice way to round things out for Summer and prepare for the fall.

How long do you think it has until opening at this point? Do you think it will be a soft opening or will they do a full blown ceremony?

Personally I think the second it’s ready to go, they’re just going to open it. Every day atp is lost time for the summer, and the faster they get it open the faster they can say “yeah we opened it this summer!”

Depending on the required cycle count, it could line up nicely for a Friday opening- but I agree that if it's ready before then, they'll probably just open it. And the minute the social media post gets shared here, I'll be doing 75 up 95 to go ride it.

A lot or activity going on. I saw quite a few employees in the station today. It definitely seems like they're doing the best they can to get this ride open soon.

Why would you be holding up traffic? Hahaha.

(For those unfamiliar, the parts of I-95 around the park have a speed limit of 70 but the average speed is like 85+)

Especially now that it’s “alive” again with trains zipping around the track, I love the way the ride looks looming over the lake. It really looks it’s in the jungle.

If you asked me, losing Anaconda was worth it just for the new sight lines it opened up of Pantherian and the lake.

I agree. It looks even better from the Eiffel Tower and Victoria's Pizza without Anaconda blocking the view.



I also forgot to mention too that the people I saw in Pantherian's station didn't look like maintenance, but possibly ride ops training for re-opening. Not to say maintenance wasn't there and were doing their normal testing before the ride gets the ok to open back up. However, from what I saw from Racer 75 and the Eiffel Tower, there were quite a few people in the station that looked more like ride ops than anything. Maybe I'm being to optimistic but it's a good possibility we will see the ride open up sooner than expected?

Yeah I cannot stress how high priority getting up to KD will be for me when I find out this ride is available again. It’s been 10 months and this thing being dormant has made KD lose a lot of punch this season even with a new B&M to ride. Ready for the 1-2 punch of 305 and Timbers to return.

Also imagine my Rapterra ridership will be trending…..down once Pantherian is open. “Hmmm 45 minute wait to try to convince myself it’s almost good as Thunderbird or walk on to a GOAT?”

Yeah they are cycling this thing like crazy today. Ride ops are in the station. It will open this weekend if not before

They put it up like 10 years ago when they tried that weird “Battle for Kings Dominion” VR app. It originally had a bunch of stats for the I305 character in the game. They’ve just been using it advertise random stuff (season passes, meal plans, etc.) for the past several years. Hopefully they’ve repurposed it with some Jungle X theming now.
