I originally thought that they used "305" in the name to tie it to its racing theme (like the Daytona 500) and be a little unique compared to its sister coaster at Carowinds... but then they went and added 325 to "Fury 325"
KD's 305 KINDA works... the rationale above is good, in addition to "3" being Dale's number. Going forward, a number in the name won't make a ton of sense. Fury 325 has always been a horrible name.I originally thought that they used "305" in the name to tie it to its racing theme (like the Daytona 500) and be a little unique compared to its sister coaster at Carowinds... but then they went and added 325 to "Fury 325"![]()
As homer of a statement it is, I find it almost impossible to disagree. It is just the perfect ride to me. The night ride I had this past Saturday was possibly the best single lap I've had on any ride, ever. It was BLISTERINGLY fast through the whole thing & especially after the trims. Virtually dropping into a black hole with hardly any lights around you, RIPPING through track... just ethereal man.this will always be the greatest coaster ever made in my opinion.
Amen to that. 305 has always been that kind of ride to me...It's just raw unbridled speed and power...certainly not for everyone, but for me? Perfection.I look forward to Geist3r05 next year!

There are RMCs with insane airtime and absurd pacing. There are other rides that pull great positive G's. There are 4D's with true terror-inducing moments. But really is nothing else with that level of sheer POWER anywhere else on earth. Every time I ride it, I still can't believe it exists![]()
Da O’s Coaster Hon! (Needs to be pronounced with Balmer accent)It's Orioles themed. Let's go O's!
Restraint change would be absolutely incredible, especially knowing KD will never turn me away as long as I lie about my height. I would love having a version of I305 that didn't squeeze my entire upper torso to deathI really hope they announce what they're doing before it closes for the season. I think we all (reasonably, IMO) assume that it's just going to be a repaint, rebrand, etc, but on the very fringe chance that something more is happening (restraint change? tunnel? something else?), I definitely hope we learn that prior to November 3rd.
If skyrush is ok with the new gen intamin restraints on the Stengel dive and s-hill, then 305 can get em tooI feel the restraints are the way they are because the ride is so snappy. Those sharp turns will not be comfortable with lapbars for the average person.
I'm really hoping for new trains. The current rolling stock looks held together with duct tape.
I joke about 305 getting Skyrush trains but I'm pretty sure those trains and the transitions on 305 would kill the folks in the outer seats.Nah there is no way 305’s transitions can be handled with a lapbar, they are a different beast entirely from Skyrush.
305’s trains track great and still run glass smooth even after blazing through those turns for nearly 15 years, they’re very impressively engineered, I hope they just paint over them
If it had lap bars, you of all people would be most at risk of a spinal severing via those S-turnsI would love having a version of I305 that didn't squeeze my entire upper torso to death
