FWIW Cedar Point just announced the closure of Wicked Twister on September 6. Could it be moving to another Cedar Fair park? It seems like a possibility since they aren't keeping it open through the remainder of the 2021 season.

If so, could you see it in Kings Dominion's revamped Safari Village? This is just fun speculation, but it seems like a relatively inexpensive way to replace both The Crypt and Volcano all at once since I doubt Cedar Fair would want to spend $20+ million for a new coaster at KD in the coming years as the chain recovers from the pandemic. Also, Volcano was by far the most popular roller coaster at Kings Dominion prior to its removal. Wicked Twister isn't nearly as cool, but it still has a similar launch component and could be themed well in the middle with a station house fly-through. It could be themed as a post volcano eruption, AKA "The Volcanic Eruption at Pompeii Italy" teaser.

Once again, I highly doubt the park will get more than one ride next season (Free Spin) and am just speculating...

I would not be happy if Wicked Twister is the Volcano replacement, BUT moving it to KD would be fun and make it a lot closer, so as long as a Volcano replacement is then not off the table, I'd be more than OK with this move.

Its unlikely but still something worth noting since KD has been Teasing Mysterious places. To me the symbol on the tree is similar to the freemasons logo. (If you dont know freemasons are known for being a mysterious secret society that some believe could be apart of the Illuminati) so maybe this new retheme could deal with secret society's and other mysterious places/things View attachment 24033View attachment 24034
Not to burst anyone's bubble but those are actually registered and legally projected trade marks so highly unlikely.

Except all the Hoopla points to 2022, not 2024 nor 2025. They had "22" in two of the videos.
I am looking outside of the obvious box. Who is to say Part I is completed for early 2022 and Part II starts construction in late 2022?

Again, all we are stating is our own conjecture based on vague clues from KD. Everything leading up to the announcement could be completed for 2022. Or, maybe not.

"Something old is new again".

At the time I didn't see the 2 other scratch Mark's that make it XXII, so my first thought was a secret symbol for some society or something, that's the only reason I mentioned it. I wasn't saying that the Illuminati or the freemasons were going to be the theme or anything, just that it was interesting how you could look at it as a "freemasons" like logo

Wicked Twister would allow for opening up the Volcano plot as a bigger plaza with other attractions. It’s not an ideal swap from a straight ride perspective, but from the experience side it opens up a lot of options.

Honestly I'd be fine with wicked twister moving to KD but I'd rather it go over on the dinosaur alive land rather than as a volcano replacement

KD just put out a new set of coordinates on facebook. Looks like the Valley of the Kings area in Egypt. I think that is the sixth place since the clues started coming out.

If you look at 2021, it was a new water attraction, plus several new eateries, so it could be 6 different things in general For the area.
I am thinking along the same line as you.

Each location represents a change of some sort in Safari Village. Whether it means Rides, Food, Entertainment, or other amenities.

Isn't Wicked Twister and Volcano both intamin? Could they bring in Wicked Twister, repaint it like Volcano and then give it some story that the Volcano finally erupted and Wicked Twister is what was left of Volcano. Like a Post Pompeii thing.

From what I have heard wicked twister was removed for structural reasons along with cedar fair removing high cost rides. With that in mind I dont think we will see wicked twister coming to KD

Or if the past couple of years have been any indication, they're removing 6 rides before 2022.
If KD removed 6 rides in Safari Village, they would end up with a clean slate to work with. Because there will be NO rides in SV at that point!
