In all seriousness, leaking a coaster without publishable documentary evidence is a nerve-racking task. While I had proof that this was happening, there's always that tiny twinge of doubt in the back of your mind that says "if something happens and you were fooled or something, your reputation is shot."

If KD hurries they could have this open before Pantheon and get a nice bounce from that.

This, for real. I will say, I rode Joker at SFGAdv yesterday and I really enjoyed it. As a coaster, it’s not much - duh. But if you think of it as a glorified flat, it’s more than a worthy successor to Crypt. The movements are unique and thrilling, the ride is visually enticing, and I liked how every ride is different; like a spinning coaster, there’s a bit of mystery and luck involved in each ride.
And the best upgrade over Crypt? The restraints on Joker were nice and comfortable, and best of all, there was zero ball-crushing.

That enough alone makes it a worthy successor in my book.
I’m thrilled for two reasons. 1) The project wasn’t scrapped because of the pandemic. 2) Unique color track for the park. It’ll be interesting to see what theme and color supports they pair this color track with.
Oh for sure. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a coaster by every definition of the term. But if you think of it as filling the role of a flippy flat ride - if you think of it just as a replacement for Crypt - it’s easier to appreciate. I’m saying that coaster enthusiasts shouldn’t say “We could’ve gotten XYZ coaster instead,” they should look at it as “We could’ve gotten XYZ flat ride instead.” Because while, yes, the free spin is a coaster, it fills the gap of a flippy flat ride in the park’s lineup and its functionality should be judged as such.

Ok, but what if (hear me out now) like say, that was actually Raptor track?
What if they were expecting a couple more shipments in?
What if the plans filed with the county were preliminary and the park changed its decision?
