Bummer that I waited in line behind people here from Boston on a single day ticket for the “VIP” event. But at least I got one ride in?!?!

Down again for high winds. This season is definitely going to be really interesting.

I find it weird that we can't have glasses, even with a rubber strap, but my hair scarf isn't a problem???
Yesterday sunglasses with no strap wasn’t a problem. In fact we even saw people coming back into the station with cell phones out. Another issue is that basket. Numerous times yesterday I saw riders handing things to ride attendants to put in baskets which really slows down things. They need to enforce the no lose articles and using lockers. The exit is also a mess…..last night there were a few strollers there with families doing rider swap. They are clogging the handicap lane and it’s also clogging the exit ramp. Another oddity yesterday was the exit stairs, some times they let you go down them the other times they said no you have to use ramp.

I was on the BGW website looking at details for Thursday's added member ride time, and noticed this...

  • Thursday, March 24:
    6 p.m. – 9 p.m.: Member first-time riders (must present redeemed ticket)
Rerides are NOT listed for Thursday, and curious to see everyone's thoughts on if they will allow rerides Thursday. I have to imagine there aren't that many first-time riders remaining (although I could be wrong with all the down time we have seen), and even if there are a lot of first-time riders left, are there any first-time riders left locally? It isn't as if folks are going to drive long distances on a school night for something like this.

Thoughts? And do we have any hope for getting a clarification on this?

I have no issues with the basket and am happy to see BGW adding them to many stations. They are only supposed to be for small lose items like hat, cells, drink ect drink cups seem to be a gray area of sometimes allowed some times not depending on ride ops anything bigger I have consistently seen turned away at the entrance and directed to the lockers.

The stairs are actually marked as the QQ entrance and the ramp as the exit but since they are not offering QQ at the moment they have been lax in enforcement but I suspect we will start seeing a lot of QQs ones it officially opens and expect pretty strict enforcement in the future

They have been opening it to rerides after 3 hours this only list a 3 hour window. That said I imagine if they see low ridership it's highly likely they will open it to all.

Yes, the stairs are marked quick queue, but I think they actually put those in for maintenance, knowing how many trips they are going to need to make over to the platform for an Intamin coaster. :)

In what is probably a rare event, ride ops let us stay in line until 7:27 pm to see if it would go back up. It did not, but they were very nice about it! The cotton candy stand kept getting knocked over by the wind so I had zero hope, but stayed anyway. S/O to Ben on the ops team for trying to keep us entertained!

Busch on Instagram wad telling people Thursday is for all members and unlimited rides. They specifically dodged a ride voucher question in the comments so it's anyone's guess on how Thursday will go.

The loose item policy seems to be incredibly inconsistent. When I was there last sunday when it was 45 degress there was plenty of people who were wearing beanie hats because it was cold but staff made them put them in the basket. People who were wearing headbands or scarves were fine.

So, the lights look really nice, but don't they directly contradict their zoning permit?

Condition #2 - All lighting locations and specifications shall be shown on future
development plans. Unless otherwise required by the Federal Aviation Authority or
necessary for safety purposes, installation of any lights on the Attraction at points
above 60 feet in height or installation of lights which direct light upward to illuminate
any part of the Attraction or surrounding theme park areas shall be prohibited, with
the sole exception being that landscape-shielded “wall-washer” type fixtures may be
installed to illuminate vertical (solid) wall surfaces related to the Attraction.

Maybe they have temporary approval as they look temporary which I really find sad as they are a great addition in my opinion.

Somebody previously pointed out that the lights look like temporary ones you often see around the holidays. Perhaps they deliberately put in "temporary" lights to get around the restriction? "Install" reads as something of a permanent nature, so perhaps they are exploiting a loophole. Something to keep an eye on, for sure, and likely need to monitor JCC meeting agendas to see if it comes up, as well as vacourts.gov in case the neighbors get irritated.

If they are moveable I wonder if they even need permission. Besides, somewhat coincidental they just got the height waiver extension and then lights appear.

Absolutely insane how a private business can't point a few colorful, not insanely-bright lights at a rollercoaster without permission from a governing authority.
