RERIDE!!!!!
Awesome! So with nice weather and previews open to everyone, they made the reride decision 4 hours into operations. Thinking that will hold true for the rest of the previews, as I might plan more than a few visits later in the day this weekend and next weekend. :)

Was at the park yesterday for platinum previews. Arrived at the coaster around 3pm.

Ride line wasn't too bad, but the lines for the front and back were backed up initially. I managed to get two rides in initially. Got in line right after 3 and once I got off, I followed the group of rowdy teens back into the queue. One of the managers stood by saying we could get back in line so I scored a second ride right after.

Ride fully opened up after 5 and got a few more rides in, including a night ride late in the evening. The temperatures dropped so it got too cold to ride, even though the coaster was still running well past 8.

The coaster is definitely a top tier ride. Easily the best in the park. Can't say its better than Timbers or 305, but its a much needed coaster in an already great lineup of rides. The first launch is nothing special, but the first inversion into the off axis hills is a pretty strong start. You get some great air in the back and some great hang in the front. The real highlight of the ride is definitely the rocking launch. You get a really strong ejector moment going backwards into the spike and another strong one launching forward up the top hat. The outer banked turn over the river is a little slow, but you get a great view of the park below. Same goes for the top hat element. I'd imagine those would be better on a hot summer afternoon. The zero G stall has some great headchopper moments. While it probably wont be as well talked about as the Mosasaurus roll, both felt pretty similar. The ending wave turn at the end is a great finish.

Pantheon definitely gives Velocicoaster a run for its money. While Velocicoaster has the theming and its length as its big strengths, Pantheon in contrast packs a much bigger, more intense punch in its shorter layout. Both are pretty even in my rankings.

I'll be riding Gwazi and Ice Breaker next week to see how they both compare to Pantheon and Stingray. I can't wait.

a little self promotion, as a treat

Really great video. Did you get any footage of the quick switch track? Saw it in one shot, but would love to see more of it working. Makes me really miss BGW!

Kevin just arrived on seen hoping that means rerides might start soon.
I might have stuck around for an extra hour or two if I had stopped Kevin and bugged him about this when I saw him in Scotland on my last loop around the park, but alas: have things to do anyway.

Got my one back row ride in the morning: no one element feels like it’s maximizing the sensations involved, but every element hits its spot, and the backwards airtime really is a wild experience. Not sure any moment hits the high of the Mosasaurus Roll, but the diversity of experiences plays in its favor, and of course the “40 minutes up the road” of it means Pantheon and I will be very good friends in the months and years ahead.

Also they are running tours through the quick queue line that appear to include non members.
My understanding, based on what I’ve read on the website, is that quick queue is *NOT* included with vip tours (and other tours for that matter) until the attraction opens on the 25th. When you look at the St. Paddy’s tour, it says priority access to SELECT attractions.

So pass members get one ride each day, correct? Or is it one total?
One total pass but the park has opened it up to member rerides both last night and this afternoon by simply showing your membership so hopefully that continues but don't expect it till afterv3vat the earliest.

With the number of rides that are closed, it doesn't surprise me that Pantheon is one of the SELECT attractions. It's not like they are going to be showing folks Tempesto, Griffon, Alpengeist, or Loch Ness ar the moment.

@DrunkenCronuts, that sounds coincidental. Generally rides get faster as they warm up, it wouldn’t make sense for it to be faster in worse/colder weather, unless they boosted it which I doubt as that would be a huge obvious difference.

There's actually something else going on with Pantheon right now. The longer the ride runs each day and the more frequent the cycles, the wheels and track warm from friction. Even if temps are dropping, that can be counterbalanced effectively by more consistent cycles.

Quick question- Are member previews one ride per visit or one ride for the duration of the entire previews event? (Ex. Could I get a ride pass today and go back tomorrow and get a ride pass?) I see sister parks Platinum explicitly states only one ride for the duration of the event, but wanted to be clear for the home park.

I'm quoting this one but a bunch of people are asking. If you have any questions about how the previews work, see the BGWFans Facebook post from last night. I covered all of the questions I believe.

Quick summary though, each pass gets a single voucher, period. Rerides occur after the flow of voucher people slows down enough to where BGW arbitrary feels like they want to let rerides happen. There's no notification or indication—it just sorta happens. Like today, I'll try to post to social media tomorrow when rerides begin.

What's the over/under on it occurring around 4 pm again? Slightly warmer weather tomorrow probably counterbalances it being a Sunday, so I am thinking around the same number of vouchers will be issued tomorrow.

I think the odds are good but if today was any indication Kevin is the only person who makes the call.
