My guess would be that they may be following a schedule like this. (Please note that I have no inside info, only my own opinion on how we may see this project progress)

Oct 31: Footers complete
Thanksgiving: Start Ride Electrical, Start Ride Buildings
New Years (or shortly after): Trackwork complete
Mid January: Buildings Complete
End of January: Trains arrive
Mid February: Electrical Complete
End of February: Begin Pre-Testing Electrical checkout
Early March: Pull-through and beginning launch tests
Mid-March: Full Circuit tests
Late March: Handover to park, begin operator training
Early April: Team-member rides, media events, maybe soft openings
2nd or 3rd weekend of April: OPENING WEEKEND!

Again, just my opinion, based on both on my professional experience of electrical engineering and experience closely watching MT, VB, Tempesto, and Invadr go up while working at the park. This is just a stab in the dark really.

[Quick personal note: I will probably not reply after 3:30CDT today until a week from next Thursday as I will be out of the office, and let's be real, my profile quote is often more true than not...FYI]

A pretty reasonable timeline. I think that we might be looking at the opening being a few weeks earlier. Which means that the some of the off-season work will just be happening slightly faster. I've been hearing that the park is hoping that it will be open for the start of spring break.

Every major ride the park has built the last 20 years hasn’t opened until May so why would this one be any different?

I too wish it would be ready for March or April but that’s just never been the case ever.

That's actually not true. Tempesto opened in mid April and Invadr opened at the beginning of April. Also Alpengeist and Apollo both opened at the end of March.

Lies and deceit

InvadR was also planned to open on opening day as the park stated this, but due to structural issues and weather delays it didn’t happen. Considering the park is moving ahead at a fairly rapid pace, opening day or March in general is definitely in the realm of possibility

I have heard the build is planned to finish in mid to late February if weather allows so it gives around a month for testing and bgw to get their own training and and testing completed.

I'm sure the intamin designers are cognizant of what forces will be present there, and all of their recent rides have been home runs, so I have faith in their design.

Wasn't really expecting too much airtime with those off-axis turns/hills, so not really disappointed. Should provide some good laterals based on the shaping (and how little lateral bracing those seats have)
