It sure would be embarrassing to make a typo on your college application and end up at Harvard Wal School.

this certainly is some parkfans level overreacting
I don't think so. Based on the construction, it wasn't a "last minute" decision. Every construction project has a flow chart of smaller projects and their due date. As @Zachary said, people pay big bucks to come to the park. They shouldn't be subjected to bare plywood walls.

I'm not saying it wasn't planned just that it might have been planned for a little later and they rushed some work because of the coming hurricane.

If anything I would NOT be constructing a temporary plywood wall before a potential hurricane. Maybe they held off until after the threat had passed and only a short time to put it up.

I don’t think the folks here always understand the pinch that this park, rather this chain, has been in recently. Just over a year ago the company was trending towards insolvency. It really is that serious. I hope that the parks don’t become six flags post bankruptcy but right now, that’s where we are. Seas is still the lowest traded major theme park brand. Seas still has big headway to make to right the ship. They are establishing a rhythm for the next several years that you can see if you look back. It is as follows:

Cut all extra expenses: reduce low profit days, cut low cash flow depts and attractions (zoo @ bgw, fireworks and late nights at all parks, etc).

Add headlining attractions to all parks at least once every other year, something new every year.

Cut more expenses by closing or adjusting existing attractions(a few at bgt, turtle trek at swo, darkastle at bgw, shoot even the shops).

Cut more fat....

Etc.

Nowhere in this adding paint for a construction wall in the budget. The park simply won’t pay for the paint or the people to paint it. Like it or not we’re pinching pennies and this is what it looks like.

And for those who think guests are subjected to this, pleeeease. One, the festa station is fairly out of the way so few guests will see it, and 2, many parks have to close up entire paths to work on construction. This really is a minor inconvenience.

Sorry for the salt but given the situation, I really do think some of y’all are being a bit wistful.

This plus Disney-style "Go Away Green" paint is all I need. I don't need them to spend a bunch of money theming or decorating the wall, it just needs to not look abominable. Hopefully they will have sent someone to Lowes for some paint and a roller before next weekend.

"We don't have 'Go Away Green'; may we interest you in 'Carl Lumb Blue' instead?" ~BGW

Eh...I’ll criticize their recent lack of theming and attention to detail as much as the next guy but complaining this much about the construction wall is a bit ridiculous to me. It’s not like they can hide/theme the construction going on there so the wall being painted makes no difference to me whatsoever, the immersion in that area of the park is going to be broken no matter what until Pantheon is complete. But whatever.

I’m just surprised we still have zero track sightings at this point.

All I stated was it's wrong that they put up "on stage" an unfinished product. I give a rat's butt whether they can afford it, that a large swarm of locusts attacked or a hurricane ”might" hit...it's wrong. Whether it's seen by thousands or a handful, it's wrong. That's all.
