Cut all extra expenses: reduce low profit days, cut low cash flow depts and attractions (zoo @ bgw, fireworks and late nights at all parks, etc).

Counterpoint: BGW just added three more (sure to be crazy low profit) nights to Howl-O-Scream in addition to keeping a handful of historically deserted Thursdays on the calendar. Plus, BGW has continued to shoot off thousands of dollars worth of fireworks on nights where it legitimately makes zero sense. Why did yesterday, a day when the park closed at 8pm, have fireworks? They weren't even advertised anywhere from what I could tell...

Not to mention the fact that Water Country USA was open after Labor Day again this year despite the place being a perennial ghost town. Even on Saturday crowds were absurdly light. I can't even imagine what yesterday looked like...

So anyway, while I agree that they are trying to cut anything and everything, anywhere and everywhere they can... Things seem really out of whack right now if you ask me. Investing $500 max to paint the wall green seems pretty minor vs shooting $8,000+ into the sky for a few thousand guests to see last night...

Or spending the tens of thousands of dollars to run the park for only a few thousand people to show up who were most likely local season pass holders.

Honestly, they could have just put the existing billboards for Circo Sinistro and Sideshow Square directly onto the construction walls. Wouldn't cost them a penny since those signs are already made and crews are already putting them up nearby anyway.

My point is that 5 months ago they tore down a green construction wall knowing that they were going to need a construction wall come September. Why on earth is there a new wall in festa? Disassemble said wall, store it (or just put a tarp over it) and reassemble now. Already painted. With the money you saved you could paint the other side another color, have a duel color wall and be ahead of where we are now. I personally don't mind the unpainted wall, but with a little planning the park could save money AND have a better product. They could even use it for 2021 if they want/need.

Is it possible the fireworks were leftover from a night that got cancelled due to rain?

Unless there's an expiration date, why not just store them?

This next part is personally just a guess....why not have a 3rd party contractor do the fireworks so you don't have wasted costs for weather? Most companies have weather protection guarantees.

Last I knew BGW fireworks were contracted out to Pyrotecnico. We should probably move this discussion elsewhere though if we want to continue talking about BGW Fireworks. It's an interesting topic that I don't think has been covered in depth before...

Long story short, hopefully the wall is painted by now and there's no need for further discussion about it. ?

Good visual of how a trident would look atop the spike.

That would seemingly become the mother of all lightening rods in Virginia. Sending an unforgettable golden glow down the tracks.

15 airtime hills.

That's new info, right?

I take that to mean airtime moments rather than individual hills...

I think there must be two moments in the middle of the launch volley, traversed 3 times each to get to 15.

It would be a nice banner for this thread.

And, while it won't happen, @JohnD, I'd hoped to see a trident on the spike.
That would be quite the sight to see - Zeus projecting his lightening bolt at the spike as the train rushes to its top. Those trains clear the top-hat with a trajectory of Hog Island.
