Not the best quality, sadly, but these are the major areas of replanting. First image is station area, second is the first helix after the first launch, third is by the main drop.

Thanks so much for showing these, @Thomas!

I'm curious if the plan is for saplings similar to what they did for VB or if the plan includes more mature or a mix of trees.

According to @warfelg's estimates of the price for mature trees, it'd be all saplings. However, if @GrandpaD's estimates are closer to the mark, I could see it being a mix.

Anyone have any insight as to how these piles are to be used?

They should drive them into the ground and then pump concrete into them and as the concrete fills the tube they extract the tube from the ground. My guess is that you will probably see an array (2-4) of these per footer for supports throughout the track. Then then piles will be capped with a footer that the tube steel coaster support sits on.

Would all the footers have pile driving done?
Only the ones in locations where the soil can't handle the loads. That's where the soil testing they did a while back comes in. This picture illustrates how they work in a simple sense.

If you look at the plans that are posted in the articles, you will notice that a majority of the footers have a either 3, 4, or 6 circles shown on them. My hunch is that those are the piles. Each circle represents a pile. If you go through the plans you will notice there are hundreds of these. It is going to take them the entire summer to drive piles, thus one reason they are starting so soon. I would be surprised to see vertical construction before November.

Good catch with the piles on the plans! Didn't even think about looking for that before, but I do believe that is how they indicate piles.

As for them going vertical, they actually only have about a four month window between the beginning of September and the end of December to get the tallest parts of track and support built. Busch filed for an FAA permit for a temporary 300' tall crane between those dates, so I'd say that would have to be related to vertical construction, unless they file a new permit later down the road.. You can see a screenshot from the online permit site below.

Edit: Also, for reference, this is the point they indicated for the permit. I'm sure they have a bit of leeway across the site, but this is pretty much right next to the tophat.

So that big hole/pit/trench is pretty hefty now right... I might think it were a water feature up against that drainage line, but it might not need to be so deep. There's no such feature on the plans, but it looks like they've gone to some lengths to prepare the slope.

Could be a French drain.

I don't know how prominent it shows in my video, but there's now a saddle point in the hole facing where they've cleared to the water.

To me, it really looks like a pond/water feature with a waterfall/spillway down to the Rhine.
