If it delivers on it's promise and how it looks I could definitely see it becoming the top new ride if 2020. As far as in the park is tougher to say because Apollo is my favorite got sentimental reasons. I'm not sure if I would supplant it but MMXX looks to be a truly incredible coaster

I just mean monitor. The day the train exploded my friend commented saying he could get some pics on BGWFans and his mom who works at the park texted him grounded him within minutes lol.
His mom might monitor but even then there's literally no way for anyone to know who is behind the individual accounts. You sure it wasn't for something unrelated or he asked his mom to get picture for him?

The staff is willing to listen to any leaks privately. They have the experience to protect staff who wish to give out information.

An obsessive fan community is not worth a job.

I was there with him, his aunt who works in marketing there saw his comment on Twitter (I think) and told his mom.

Could be totally wrong that’s just what he said happened later.

There are people in relatively high positions at BGW who actively read and monitor this forum, yes.
Just not for the reasons that he is thinking. It's more to gauge the public thoughts and feelings about things happening at the park

The intentions vary greatly. There is some of what you are saying, but that's not everything.

Anyway, this conversation justifies its own thread most likely.

I mean with this ride it’s low to the ground turns between the elements, sorta like Maverick.

So I wanted to bring up something from the SWO Launched Coaster thread that's interesting and really applies to this case. And that's the work permits, to show you how state by state is different in handling things like this.

So SWO's permit filing has the following:
2020Permits.png

2020_bldgvaluations.png

In Florida, projects need to be split out like this. Each individual building much be accounted for in both valuation and independent permits. This allows them to easily track each part of a project if they ever get extra work. Most states do not do this though. Most (VA included) require a total project cost number. So this does go to show on MMXX's reported $25mil cost, that the total project is that number. Lets be conservative here and say that MMXX's non-ride parts are roughly the same, with the Queue Building costing $100,000 as opposed to $50,000. That means that non-ride portions of the project would be $6,750,000. Roughly $7mil when accounting for market differences. So take $7mil out of the $25mil, and that means that the coaster itself might have a cost of $18million. Suddenly something that big and that different doesn't sound all that expensive.

Definitely especially when you add that BGW is building a bridge over the train. The Coaster is probably closer to 15 million. Still not an insignificant amount

I think the actual coaster will be even less considering BGW is a virgin site. There's going to be a lot of clearing, structure/pasture relocation and probably a huge chunk of change to bring utilities to the area. Those LSMs do suck up a lot of kilowatts. ⚡?

Oh yea, bust using an example of the differences and why the $25mil isn't for the coaster itself.

It will be interesting to see if they use caps or flywheels for power storage. I love when they use flywheels (as holiday world did) there is something just very... old school about them. Also depending on how much storage they have they could, in theory cut back on the service. (depending on the duty cycle and several other factors)

Considering the nature of the launches for the ride and the building structures listed in the plans that were posted in this thread earlier, I'm betting there's going to be a capacitor system to provide the energy for the launches.

I'd love to see a flywheel as well, but considering there's multiple launches I don't think it would be the most efficient way of utilizing energy for the ride.
