Some things I spotted:
In the area with pictures they used the old footer plan as the thumbnail as opposed to the new one, so that change is even VERY recent. It shows about 50% of the trees in the area on the "clear out" side of the line. We have a hard line of the latest construction will start: October 10th 2019. IMO that officially puts the clock on "Project Madrid Watch" because even if they wait for HOS 2019 to touch the RPA buffer, they would likely need to start construction elsewhere long before that.

SIDE NOTE: It looks like someone different did the different map layers because very few actually match up. Either that or its an intern.

No we don't. First they can file for an extra as late ss the end of August 2019 also it say "null in void if not started by October 10 2019." It's inirely possible that has a broader defense then work in that party area has to be ground broke by that date. It could be as that just the prodject most be which woyuld mean that it's possible that they could start with only a tiny but of actual work done by that datem

Without any extensions, that's a sooner date than the height waiver. Extensions for construction are also a very costly proposition. I highly doubt that they would file for an extension. Maybe I shouldn't have said 'hard line', but if this is a 2020 project, starting into the RPA buffer any later than October 10th 2019 would likely mean that they won't finish for the start of the 2020 season.

Saw this and was reminded of the "shuttle" discussion earlier in this thread:

Not Madrid, but a possibly similar ride. The illustration is ambiguous, as it could be a true shuttle, or a switch track spike coaster. It could be the former: launch backwards into the back spike, get the full power launch to go through the course, climb the front spike, and launch backwards to get the energy to make it back to the station. However, a fanmade POV points to the latter.

I really, really hope we are not getting a version of this. BGW would have three launched coasters which to me is not necessary for a park of our size/ilk.

If this shuttle concept is really all the rage, there must be "something" to set it apart from the others. This feels like a Cedar Point/SFGAV addition, because they have almost everything else under the sun, this would be just be another "thing." I feel BGW needs *THE* thing in 2020...so to speak.

We have our odd launch coaster not even 200 feet behind this proposed ride, let's hope it's special on a different level than shuttles with themes.

Agreed - I only posted this because it was relevant to previous discussion.

Cedar Point already has Wicked Twister, but Great Adventure would do well with a big shuttle coaster, provided it has two tracks like its predecessors, Lightnin' Loops and Batman and Robin: The Chiller.

I don't know KD has 3 that are almost right on top of each other snd it really hasn't seemed to hurt them all that much.

Ok I know Volcano has been down this year but unless I missed something it's likely top return next year. So there is Volcano, Flight of Fear, and Back Lot all in a little triangle shaped area probably less then 200 yards apart.

I honestly am at the point where whatever ride they add I am sure I will be satisfied with, I just want more than a ride. I want some new territory to traverse. It has been too long since I have felt unfamiliar at BGW and it is nice to have that every once in a while.

I don't have much to add but I just wanna say can you guys believe this is actually happening? Spain is happening. I feel like fan speculation about Spain coming to BGW has been around as long as I've been an enthusiast and I'd long since written it off as never happening.

Did I miss something? When was Spain confirmed?
