Why would it be called Dracen Rush? That seems to me like a semi-generic name for a coaster that'd go in a theme park with little theming, not in a place like BGW. If we're to believe that they're gonna make it a part of a Spain-themed hamlet, then they should name it smthg related to Spain.
Also, why an S&S giga and not an Intamin?

I305 with a 300 foot drop is 90 mph
Fury 325 with a 320 foot drop is 95 mph

I wouldn’t say it’s impossible, though it may be a stretch.

Actually running the numbers, I suppose theoretically it's possible: in a frictionless world devoid of rotational inertia you could reach 103mph if you squeaked out every inch of a 355-foot drop. So can a manufacturer lose no more than 4mph to all combined loss effects? I can't say it's impossible.

So I guess the lesson here is, read the entire "leak" before dismissing it outright.

Or we could just wait until verified information from reliable sources comes out. Not saying the leak is right or wrong. I just don't trust things like that.

"Read and dismiss it" kind of seems like the same result overall as "wait for verified information." But yeah, I wouldn't generally trust the anonymous-Reddit-stranger delivery mode either.

Every so often those types of "leaks" end up being largely correct. Very often they are way off. I'd rather not comment either way here -- due checking up on a few things that have led me to believe I should shut my mouth -- but generally speaking, skepticism is a virtue.

Completely unfounded, but it could also be launched. Meaning more speed to reach the top. In any case the "rumor" here sounds very absurd. I'd be very surprised to see a massive coaster AND a hamlet same year. The Oktoberfest renovation, which was the biggest project in recent history was completed in two years. I think something like that is much more likely.

For whatever it might be useful (or not) here's a photo of an aerial photo of the "Madrid" area. I think it's from the early 90s as Drachen Fire is in the full photo. I thought it might be helpful as there isn't the trees we now have.

Also, to the folks better versed in interpreting the permit apps... Does anything preclude coaster tracks going over and beyond the train tracks but not within the water conservation buffer?

Not entirely but you have the pipeline and its buffer zone in some of that area. It might be possible to build over it like what was don with a section on Nessi's track but that requires s fair amount of engineering as well as the aproval from the pipeline company.

The more the speculation about this project continues the less I'm convinced it's going to be a giga.

Busch has (almost) always had (as was said in another thread) "gimmicks" or uniqueness in their new coasters. While it was pointed out to me they're both "parking lot" coasters, we already have 2 gigas in the region. A terrain following giga might make it unique, but IMHO, I can't buy into it.

To me, the language in the height waiver application just doesn't sound giga - "255ft height waiver with 315 foot being the height after the grade." The central part of the Festa Field is 60-80 feet. Unless I'm reading this wrong (at my age I usually do) then I'm seeing a lift hill of 255 or so feet, unless they move a ton of dirt. That's below the giga height threshold.

I'd like to see Flying Aces variation, although the original is only about 210 ft lift. Put in that large non-inverting loop and some serious terrain following and Busch has one serious contender for awesome.

That language iirc refers to that they can build up to 60 ft tall without a height permit (hence why Invadr didn’t have one) but need approval to build higher (255 ft more is 315 feet).

I can’t imagine them wanting to get to the 315 foot height and not making this anywhere near that range (not to mention them outdoing Kings Dominion).

I actually do think that this will have a Flying Aces type layout though (assuming the Intamin rumors are correct). The area they potentially will be using is in a similar shape but larger. One thing I do wonder though is if they would use a chain or cable, and if they will opt for the multi-move like on Skyrush and Millie.

(assuming the Intamin rumors are correct).

Point of clarification. There's no Intamin rumor as far as I know. It's a theory put forth based on what we see from the buffer plans, knowing B&M doesn't really do drops like that. It's all and educated guess.

For all we know this can be a B&M and what we are seeing going down by the river there is near the end of the ride and not at the end of the first drop.

True, with a terrain hugging layout that river turn could be anything.

FYI, I was curious about the footers behind San Marco and why they had to be added to the water approval. Seems there is a ditch there that flows directly into the Rhine. On the aerial I posted you can faintly see it.
