RE: Project Madrid: New Hamlet? Giga Coaster? 315' Tower?

imo I think the matador concept seems generic and obvious to begin with. They could do something interesting with Spanish mythology that peaks more interest.

This!

The park has named their biggest coasters after mythological and mythical characters.  Matador/Bullfighting is a sport and would deviate from the themes they've gone with.  Plus, the idea of theming a coaster to a matador is so generic, lame and not very creative.

And kill the idea of a "Running of the Bulls" theme as well, which is actually part of a religious festival in the Basque country.

When the company was still privately owned, they used to name coasters after mythological characters & beasts.  That stopped with the opening of Verbolten and, since then, we've gotten Tempesto and Invadr.

The new trend is ridiculous made-up words.

Well....Gigantes (king of giants)
Gadeiros the Titan (Would be fun with Apollo since Titans were bigger than gods)
Cuegle (A wild beast)
Nuberu (Spirit of the wind)
Culebre (Snake-Dragon)
VibriaDrac (Female dragon)
Surgaar (God of storms)

Personally I like Gadeiros the Titan. That would be so cool to play off Apollo being a god, Gadeiros being a titan and what they mean for sizes.

Cuegle could get a really cool story to it. Could do that as a name for a specific el chupacabra and create a story for it like Big Bad Wolf.

My number 3 would be Nuberu, especially if this ends up floorless or winged. Feeling really free like that and having the ride be the spirit of the wind, and you are "riding the wind" would be really cool.

FWIW BGW....I am available for hire.

Well I did say their biggest coasters. At least with Verbolten, they stuck with something unique. I don't consider Tempesto or InvadR one of the marquee coasters that will draw people to the park.

This is not going to be a coaster guys. Just saw the teaser Busch gardens put out it looks like we're getting a star flyer. It said views like no other as the video showed all the roller coasters and the surrounding park.

It's not a teaser. It's just aerial drone footage of the park.

There are park marketing employees reading this thread right now and laughing out loud—either because we are so suspicious of their every move that we are making their generic drone footage video into a huge deal or because we took the bait and they're trolling us.

I honestly don't know which it is—but they are loving it.

Yea...I don't see anything to read into there. Generic "here's our coasters with a view" teaser.

RE: Project Madrid: New Hamlet? Giga Coaster? 315' Tower?

So is this going to be a star flyer or a coaster? Zachary what's your thoughts?

Lol. Cute.

Anyway, I don't think this is going to be a Starflyer. I think Busch will give us something better than that after serving us Tempesto.
