RE: Project Madrid: New Hamlet? Giga Coaster? 315' Tower?

I really wonder if they have done anything in the park since it has closed. (new markings and stuff)
After they finished daily operations they had markers in festa field by the stables, during HOS and CT after riding the train the markers were nowhere to be found.

I beg to differ. I can’t say anything for CT, but during HoS I saw an increase in markers whether they were related to Project Madrid or not.

How much room do they have for expansion? I took the train ride in September, and they had quite a bit past festa fields/ grazing pastures, and a lot behind and just before Fest Haus where they stage the fireworks. Any areas I’m missing? I’ve only been the one time this year, and before that, it was probably a decade or so ago. Not all that familiar with their land footprint.

Yeah I,ve already read that stuff thanks. My question was aimed more at how much land do they have to expand?

They can expand wherever they wish contained within land that is owned. The resource protection area around the Rhine, access to existing hamlets and proximity to the Kingsmill property are all that really restrict expansion. To answer your question, for Project Madrid, the original Drachen Fire site connecting to Oktoberfest and the Festa Pastures potentially connecting to Festa Italia or San Marco are are the places where markings have shown up for what are believed to be for expansion. All of this is contained within the railroad on the right side when riding. On the left side is the Rhine and is not likely for any construction at all.

Slowly catching back up with all the news on here.... I think if following the map that was available on this http://bgwfans.com/project-madrid/
I think it will be cool to possibly have another way to get from Festa to Germany.

I wanted to reply to this post from another thread:

I haven't heard anything and would consider it entirely possible that it's not a 2019 prodject or that it has been scrapped entirely.

I won't comment on the year just yet, but it most certainly hasn't been scrapped... ;)

Whatever the main attraction, I am hoping that Curse of DarKastle will have its ride vehicles reused, whether in a new area or in the existing CoDK building. If Festhaus Park is part of it, I don’t know if one could be more practical for the ride and if one could be an event space like what they are currently planning for DarKastle.

If someone held a gun to my head and demanded my best guess right this instant, I'd tell them "No."

Fair enough. So not shelved, but in no rush to actually do it. It’s the “just the tip” of ride teasing.

If groundbreaking starts any later then July / August it probably won’t be a 2019 project. Since both sides of the Rhine are being used it’ll take some time to build whatever they’re doing.

Is it confirmed that both sides of the Rhine are involved? Maybe I need to re-scour this thread. I know some ideas about a bridge and/or roller coaster crossing the river were put up for consideration but I didn't know if we had solid info. That's so exciting! I can't wait to hear what this iiiiissssss!!!!!

Soil testing was filed for both sides of the Rhine, so yes, both sides of the Rhine are confirmed.

This is slightly nit-picky so forgive me—I just want us to be as careful as possible in our wording so no one gets the wrong idea.

A better way to interpret the soil test information would be to say that, at least at the time of the soil testing, possible land impacts were anticipated on both sides of the Rhine River.

This is important because they could have simply been evaluating two different location options or one side's work could be solely for infrastructure. We just don't know yet.

Basically, the entire potential project area includes both sides of the Rhine.
