Open question: do we think the ride will still soft open before these pre-official opening ride times, or are they basically going to let Platinum riders be the soft open?

With the platinum riders riding in March, I can’t see it soft opening earlier, outside of promotional material for commercials, but that doesn’t count obviously.

I wouldn't be at all surprised to see a soft opening still. When we get actual preview and opening date it'll be a lot easier to predict, but don't count out the possibility yet.
There’s a non described Mardi Gras member bonus event in late January, so you never know.

Yeah, it's just hard to gauge how they want to handle this. As it is, it feels like they're going to need to do some HEAVY communication on the day of any kind of Platinum preview that only a certain membership level will be able to ride. Because once people see people on the ride, how do you keep them out? And won't they be frustrated?

That said, all of this becomes a bit easier when the park will be confronting this in early March when most visitors are probably local.

Maybe belt off area around the bridge? “Present a current platinum membership and ticket to the special event to gain access” and signs saying “Member exclusive, Join today”!

We will have to go to a kiosk to get a voucher. But the kiosks will be broken and we will have to go to guest services. And only about 75% of us will randomly be able to get a replacement voucher from guest services. Meanwhile, at Pantheon, the beleaguered and untrained ride ops will be letting anyone in, who shows any kind of pass.

Something that I'm surprised no one has brought up is how Annual Passholders only have to visit the park twice between now and October 31, 2021, to be granted entry to the Passport to Thrills Celebration in March. It seems rather odd to have fewer hoops to jump through for a dying pass breed compared to the far newer membership program.

I'm assuming this is because Annual Passholders have historically been blocked out for Christmas Town, so it would make sense to have a shorter time frame with fewer required visits to make it semi-fair.

As a Passholder, it is becoming exceptionally rare to be included in any sort of exclusive event at the park so it was shocking to see that this now archaic pass is still included in this "exclusive" event on the website. Many of these events have blurred the line between "passes" and "memberships" with unclear wording so it's rather refreshing to see the park address this issue that is usually ignored several months before the actual event takes place.
