The clause 'can change at the park's discretion at any time without notice' on most if not all passholder/member agreements is how they get away with this sort of thing without legal repercussions.

I get it now. You paid for a year or more to get access and now you have to keep paying in order to get ERT you were supposed to have gotten ages ago, plus now the ERT is open to everyone with a membership and so it's not going to be much of an ERT. Do I have it right now?

SF dropping Gold season passes sucks, but at least they didn't take away something that was promised, and at least the membership is still pretty cheap.

From how I am reading this, they are still offering the "members ride early" access to everyone who is a current member or was a member...This new "Passport to Thrills" event is an additional ERT event, is it not? Another question I have about this though...If I plan to purchase a new membership for black friday, but will be going to the park two times before then but after the 10th, do those two visits count towards the 3 on my new pass?

I really do not understand how they keep making this more and more convoluted...kind of insane to think this is Seaworld and not a smaller organization making these mistakes but I guess its been the "new normal" for them 😒

So here's the crux of the issue:

BGW sold members "first to ride" access to Pantheon. They have now announced a new Passport to Thrills program which seems to be a better "first to ride" event. BGW has yet to say in what order these ride opportunities will take place so we don't know who is actually getting to be "first to ride." They also have not stated when these events will take place relative to the attraction's public opening so we don't even know if all of these exclusive ride periods will actually happen before the coaster's official opening.

BGW just needs to give us a straightforward roadmap. These are the groups that have now been promised access:
  1. Platinum Memberships ("first to ride with exclusive access")
  2. Unlimited & Premier Memberships ("first to ride")
  3. Basic Memberships (seemed to have been added to the roster today)
  4. Legacy Annual Pass Holders (also added to the lineup today)
  5. Expired Memberships Purchased after Pantheon's Announcement (compensation program)
  6. Passport to Thrills Party People (added today)
  7. The General Public (official opening at some point in March)
We just need to know what order these people will be given access in.

Groups 1 and 2 are clearly entitled to be the first up in my opinion, but the park has yet to recommit to that position today.

They’re really just throwing members under the bus. Instead of respecting members who were told they’d be first, they are seemingly opening the ride to everyone who visits 3x from now to the end of the year. It’s obvious cash is too important to them, as they should have made clear that the first riders would be members from the announcement period of 19-to today. Bunch of bull

Also, with it opening in March, how soon can a member exclusive really be? If it’s just 1 or two weeks, that’s ridiculous

What are the chances they are really just opening it officially in March, with various soft-opening events as early as February or even January under the guise of "being nice to the members theyve screwed over the years"?

Woooooo a subpar ride experience in the freezing cold woooo

This is sort of like when a cruise line brings out a new ship. They sell about six cruises all touted to be "the maiden voyage". It reminds me of the old line, "I knew her before she was a virgin."

Still a shit show but an honest one at that
I know this is the wrong thread, but they desperately need to align the passholder/membership word soup into a coherent story. The fact that @Zachary had to list 6 or 7 bullets to explain when certain people would be eligible to ride Pantheon is a testament to the nonsense. BGW stop running your "season pass" system like a flea market.

I have given up on trying to understand the various incarnations of pass/membership/whatever options.

With that said -- and despite it clearly being irrelevant to my situation -- kudos to the park for doing right by passholders, making good on its original Pantheon promise. It seems like this has been an open question for so long. Seeing it resolved in the affirmative is terrific, regardless of whether or not it benefits me personally.

Platinum Members, please share your detailed ride experiences here in 190 days or so. The internet needs you.
