For some strange reason, I have this suspicion that putting a set of stairs immediately before the entrance area of the parks highly anticipated newest coaster, next to a train exit, may not be the best idea. Just a guess, but outside of the bridge near Nessie, these are the only stairs that guests will be forced to cross, unless they take the ramp. I see a lot of potential tripping and bad falls going down with people being distracted by the spike and the constant flow of traffic going in many, many directions.

Curious if it was planned like this because of the expense and time it'd take to do a flat bridge without stairs was too expensive or time consuming? If time was the concern, if only they had a crystal ball...

I think it's more space than time—a flat bridge would have required significant incursion into Festa proper to get enough rise to leave room for the train without creating too steep a grade for accessibility purposes. I think we were always going to see stairs/ramp as the solution within this location.

I do think that creates a greater risk of some tripping/etc. but I guess that's just going to be on guests to navigate.

Rides such as Verbolten and Invadr have steps in/out of the stations and tripping doesn't seem to be any more common than they would be elsewhere. As long as the steps are built to code and can safely handle the traffic, they shouldn't be any more dangerous than the steps anywhere else in the world.

I think it's a bit different when there's stairs that are explicitly part of the queue/exit of the ride and when it's more of a concourse situation.

I would assume yes, because someone else in this thread said they talked to Kevin and he said that they hoped to start construction "soon".

I can’t wait to get word in like march of next year pantheon is testing and then proceed to sit somewhere in view of pantheon and sit there for hours and hopefully try to get shots of the test run it’s gonna be so exciting

I run that instagram account, and yes i’m putting 2 bits of info together along with my personal recent interactions with Mr. Lembke when i’ve talked to him in the park, my friend talked to him last week and got a very similar statement to the one typed there, and along with the post a bit ago saying similar things in this thread i had my friend give me a sort of account of what he said, that’s probably not his precise words but my friends memory accounts something along those lines,

Okay but the real concern here is how narrow the ramp is, and how the fact that there’s nothing stopping someone with a scooter from accidentally making a wrong turn and going down the stairs. I don’t even know if they’ll be able to get up to the bridge with how tight the ramp is.

That is true. The ramp did seem tight. I guess BG is assuming that not many people with scooters will be trying to get to/from that area.

The ramp meets ADA guidelines so there shouldn't be an issue going up and down the ramp. The bigger problem is that it will probably cause a huge logjam on busy days because there can only be 1 on the ramp at a time.

I can only pray that this ride has a kick ass light package, griffion has a decent one when they choose to use it, more rides at bgw specifically coasters need them

Hopefully the uplights from CMT last year are a permanent addition. Something like Iron Gwazi’s would be NICE

Is it too much to ask for a coaster train with LED lights along the side. I miss seeing Drachen Fire's red train at night.
