You know that just about every major ride in the park for quiet some time has not opened on preview day. What makes you think this trend will end, especially on a large and rather complex coaster from a company with a history of 11th hour problems. (I'm looking at you i305)

we have metal pipes in the ground. this also appears to be inline with stakes that look to me to be outlining the coaster's path so it might very well be the beginning of the supports.

If Hagrid is any indication Intamin has not made any improvements since their Skyrush debacle 7 years ago.

there is both a fields on the other side of the train tracks as well as some small field and barn space that was saved right across from RR.

Haha.. well they won't be able to announce 2021 from "higher up" without flying a copter or balloon or something

oh good I wonder if they can tell us what network the 2020 cell tower will be hosting. Sprint's service can be really crappy at the park so I am hoping it's for them.

My first response on this new attraction, I am seeing local (Tidewater) news outlets that BG received a height variance of 355 feet from James City County in May. One report stated the new attraction would go in the Drachen Fire space. Another news outlet reported the "Madrid" project was dead (315 foot height coaster). Awfully confusing to me. Anyone wish to enlighten me?

Sure.

This height waiver is indeed for the drachen fire space next to festhaus.

In one of the hearings, a Bunch Gardens exec did confirm that the "Madrid" project, in its original concept was cancelled. And so they didn't use the full 315 height for which they received a waiver. Instead, project MMXX has replaced it with a height of 180 ft.

So, in summary, 2020 we will see MMXX in festa.
In 2021 (or later) we will see the attraction for which a 355 ft waiver was just given.
