I'm assuming that's for the entire project...the coaster, bridge, buildings, utilities, ground work, pastures, etc.

Still, that's a huge load of giant turkey legs.

Yeah it should be for the entire project because typically when the price of a coaster is discussed it refers to the cost of the entire project.

No it’s not. 1) it’s an overshot number like FF. 2) it accounts for all aspects (inc electrical, bridge, paths, tree removal). 3) most LSM projects recently have added up in the $18-22mil range.
That's still expensive dude

Considering that so many of the big coaster projects are happening in China, it is impossible to say how much is the most spent. China is a command economy and has been consistantly undervaluing the yuan for quiet a long time.

Unless someone can provide substantial evidence about it I absolutely refuse to believe that Griffon cost $15 million. There's no way in hell that thing cost similar to Bizarro 8 years prior.

That still seems way low for Griffon. Granted there wasn't a lot of terraforming required. It wouldn't surprise me if there was a package deal with Sheikra where they got a discount by buying two at once

Edit: autocorrect made wasn't into was.

According to that article, it was about $2m more than Florida. That can move a lot of dirt. (Maybe they got a good trade-in deal on the LeMans cars.? ?)

The truth of the matter is that there is no standardized way to measure the cost of an attraction addition and, hence, comparing all of these numbers is worthless. Some almost certainly just account for ride hardware. Others probably account for demolition of previous attractions. Some probably include a large number of marketing expenses (market research, promotional material, etc.). It's all a big apples to oranges situation.
