I'm very sorry if this has come up already; what are the possibilities of Madrid crossing the train tracks?

That’s kind of been up for debate. I’ve heard some say it will and others say it won’t (and maybe will cross the river.) Right now it’s too early to say what the layout will be but my guess is something more compact but intertwined (Intamin).

I would be willing to throw a bit on still pulling a teaser campaign from July-August, late August-Early Sept Announcement.

A lot of SeaWorld’s coasters have been announced in the spring. I think this may be the same, with teasing starting in Jan/Feb

I hope they make it a good one though. Maybe one that makes you guess the stats and the layout.

BTW can we take a moment to realize how batsh*t insane an Intamin terrain giga would be with the new Intamin restrains? You’d be flying all over the place.

Their southern parks are announcing in the spring. BGW, WCUSA, SPP still holding to fall announcements with BfE, Invadr, OWT, bother Project 2019’s. Even BGT hasn’t formally announced what’s going in.

Invadr was in March

Timing... Hard to call w/ other pending announcements. Madrid I would hold off a ways past whenever Project 2019 is announced so as to maximize impact of Project 2019 on annual pass and early season ticket sales. Then maybe later summer/fall for Madrid like @warfelg speculates.

And/or time Madrid with Sesame's announcement, which could open simultaneously with Madrid, if that's a go. Or maybe go with a "we're making big investments over the next few years" strategy and announce all three and maybe more up front. Dollywood and Hershey have all gone with major investment/expansion announcements in recent times...wish BGW were able to do the same.

I really like the idea of BGW staying silent on Madrid until Fall 2019. BGW's 2019 announcements are really solid and they deserve their full time in the spotlight.

If Sesame Place is happening, I think it's an excellent idea to announce it at the same time as Project Madrid. It would show that SEAS is investing heavily in both the family and thrill markets. It's basically the ultimate 1-2 punch.

Plus, announcing a new park a year and a half before it opens is completely within reason—especially considering the potentially long and complicated construction timetable.

Give it time to breathe is right. Also if you announce it at the right time you can put out both and have a timeline of:
-Teaser Campaign for both Summer 2019
-Announcement September 2019: Project Madrid, Sesame Place
-Early 2020 Project Madrid opens
-Summer 2020 announce the neighborhoods and rides for Sesame place, one neighborhood at a time.
-Fall 2021 Sesame Place opens.

That’s a good 3 year run of being in the amusement industry news.

This makes sense and falls into SWPE strategy-

"SeaWorld plans to spend $150 million a year on capital expenses as it seeks to grow attendance by adding a new show, ride or event at each of its 12 parks every year, the company said."

The only difference I see is all need articles I've read indicate a "mid 2021" target for Sesame Place. I would think they'd try to open sometime in May-June so they can capitalize on Summer vacations.
