General Information:

"Project Drachen Spire," is a community-generated identifier for the Intamin-made, multi-launch, shuttle giga coaster that was originally slated to open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2021. The attraction is planned to utilize the currently-vacant land behind Verbolten, Festhaus Park—the former home of Drachen Fire.

The coaster's main layout—as leaked before the addition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic—featured two launches, two spikes (one spiral, one vertical-ish), and a couple of banked turns. Drachen Spire was designed to run two trains by means of a pair of switch tracks connecting the primary, shuttle portion of the layout to the station platform.

well that may be true now that it’s built but the past post don’t lie. Was a lot of complaining going on.

I think you are confusing small gripes (a swing launch parallel to another swing launch in the same hamlet) with people’s overarching impression of the quality of the ride itself. And then you’re taking the additional step of ascribing that position to the community at large.

Regardless, we’re getting off topic here so we should probably drop it.

Regarding 2021, we’re planning for a 6pm publication. Both parts of the project are on track to be completed by then.

This will be (rightfully in my opinion) infinitely more controversial than Pantheon. Not because it’s bad (opinion), but because it’s insane (not an opinion—just fact).
Insane as in a park would have to mental to build it and we will all go what are they thinking? or insane as in this is going to be intense and might be really cool?

the "we don't need another launch coaster" contingent

What an antiquated idea!

looks at how many launches 2021 has

Yes and more. Any way you can use insane to describe a coaster, this fits if you ask me.

I will be thrilled with anything that is not a Red Force clone. I don't know why, as I've never rode Top Thrill or KingDa Ka but I just don't like the idea of the park adding another one trick pony or unoriginal launch coaster

It’s definitely not a Red Force clone.

if it was a true giga i would be 20 times more but i always like a coaster thats not a one trick
Unless there is a major surprise with these new plans (and I have not seen them, I am operating off of knowledge from previous reveals) from what we’ve been able to gather this would still very much meet most people’s definition of “one trick” while simultaneously not being a RF clone.

Based on what @Zachary has told us, I think there is a major surprise in these plans.
