General Information:

"Project Drachen Spire," is a community-generated identifier for the Intamin-made, multi-launch, shuttle giga coaster that was originally slated to open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2021. The attraction is planned to utilize the currently-vacant land behind Verbolten, Festhaus Park—the former home of Drachen Fire.

The coaster's main layout—as leaked before the addition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic—featured two launches, two spikes (one spiral, one vertical-ish), and a couple of banked turns. Drachen Spire was designed to run two trains by means of a pair of switch tracks connecting the primary, shuttle portion of the layout to the station platform.

We already know what it basically is, just not the element(s) between the spikes. I’m going out on a limb and saying the world’s fastest inversion.

I watched this forum bash Pantheon for months and now those same people on here are praising it now that it’s built. I’m sure whatever it is will be a great addition to the park and we will all enjoy it.

Not gonna lie, I feel like this is sorta a huge mischaracterization of the general reaction to Pantheon... There will always be a few who are unhappy, but Pantheon has been received OVERWHELMINGLY positively by this community—and with good reason.

This will be (rightfully in my opinion) infinitely more controversial than Pantheon. Not because it’s bad (opinion), but because it’s insane (not an opinion—just fact).

well that may be true now that it’s built but the past post don’t lie. Was a lot of complaining going on.

IIRC, the only thing people were upset about was Pantheon having the triple launch being right next to Tempesto. Some of us aren’t awfully fond of spikes either... Hence the apprehension to love and accept 2021.
