General Information:

"Project Drachen Spire," is a community-generated identifier for the Intamin-made, multi-launch, shuttle giga coaster that was originally slated to open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2021. The attraction is planned to utilize the currently-vacant land behind Verbolten, Festhaus Park—the former home of Drachen Fire.

The coaster's main layout—as leaked before the addition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic—featured two launches, two spikes (one spiral, one vertical-ish), and a couple of banked turns. Drachen Spire was designed to run two trains by means of a pair of switch tracks connecting the primary, shuttle portion of the layout to the station platform.

So was this person confusing lattice type structure with spires? Or could the spire mentioned be for the FAA lighting?
I wonder if he has perhaps mentally commingled the park's two attractions-in-process into one, given that one of them has a spire and the other is a subject of this hearing.

It definitely sounds like a Star Flyer, I still just don’t understand why they would build a star flyer in the location they have proposed though.

How can you say it sounds like anything? Nobody said anything new except for that one Kingsmill resident who was clearly a bit confused about his terminology

the only thing worth anything, and it isn't worth much, is that he could have seen a picture of a tower, rather than a coaster lift. Now given his picture he had, you might argue he was referring to that and not the picture shown to the residents of kingsmill.

Sure. But I find it highly unlikely that Busch Gardens would have shown them anything from which they could have determined the exact nature of the ride. They likely just gave them some sort of outline of what they would see from their vantage. To that end, a lift hill and spire look exactly the same.

Wow my concept for drachen water is finally going to become a reality.

@GrandpaD theres your evidence from Ms Cheely. “at request of the BOS BGW did again meet with KCSA and kingmill”
Ok, now we know. We didn't before..just assumed.

they're woking on buying the tower from vegas but negotiations are moving slow.
I doubt the Stratosphere wants to move. And the darned Martians blew up the old Landmark Tower. Maybe Seattle wants to offload the Space Needle.

From my discussion with @Zachary about what they could be doing a Star Flyer would only be feasible if there were multiple other attractions going in that area as well.
Hmm...tower and medium coasters...sounds familiar.

Nope. We knew before as well. If you watch the earlier BOS meeting you’d find the reference that Ms Cheely made to the BOS requesting that the again meet with kingsmill.

Of course a request isn’t binding and didn’t have to be met. But it would be imprudent of BGW to not follow through on that if they wanted their request granted.

I watched @Jahrules ... But requesting doesn't mean it happened as you said. But obviously your knowledge supercedes all.

I mean it’s not a stretch to believe that if you are petitioning a board to grant something and they request you to meet with someone that you would be inclined to follow through on that request, right?
