General Information:

"Project Drachen Spire," is a community-generated identifier for the Intamin-made, multi-launch, shuttle giga coaster that was originally slated to open at Busch Gardens Williamsburg in 2021. The attraction is planned to utilize the currently-vacant land behind Verbolten, Festhaus Park—the former home of Drachen Fire.

The coaster's main layout—as leaked before the addition was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic—featured two launches, two spikes (one spiral, one vertical-ish), and a couple of banked turns. Drachen Spire was designed to run two trains by means of a pair of switch tracks connecting the primary, shuttle portion of the layout to the station platform.

I mean if they ever build one that actually offers a ride after rocketing to the clouds maybe I'd think differently. There's only 5 giga coasters (currently) as far as I'm concerned. The others are extreme thrill rides of some other term.

Direction is incorrect based on the picture. The front was clearly visible in the mock up, so that’s pretty solid info unles something changes
Agree. That could be switched around. Exit and circle around the station, into launch pattern as shown. Modify return to the station. Or maintain direction as shown in pic, and reverse direction of travel up/down initial top hat.

I do agree that it would be wonderful to see a return of the Drachen Fire name/theme in some capacity(even if it's something as small as a replicated element or ride effect like on Verbolten). As for the coaster itself, I would be very surprised if BGW added a 4th launch coaster to the park(and it's second in two years), if it was just simply a red force/strata coaster junior coaster. Honestly it's almost more likely that they delay it to 2022 for cost reasons. But I guess we'll see if/when they start clearing next spring.

Does anyone have an explanation as to what the track-like segment is that is depicted immediately above the station, horizontally (in the leaked image)?

Reread what I wrote. I said the BOX was the platform for the old exit ramp and the SQUIGGLES are indicating a terrain change. You can see in the pictures it's a fairly large drop off. No way that's track with the indentation in the middle.

food for thought but it seems to my that the Rhine dredging application was filed after Madrid was canceled. Wonder what the chances to it having anything to do with this are.

Those tower-like supports that hold up accelerator models surely need a lot of concrete below. Maybe that? I haven't seen the application in a while. Where was the location of it again?

I don't necessarily think it's track either. However, it seems to extend beyond the building, further than the old exit ramp did or does.
The indentation looks to me like a way of saying the view is "cut-out" some how, indicating something above or below that isn't being entirely shown (like the roof or something).

.. almost like an elevator section of track. That would be weird wouldn't it? Have a vertical lift elevator take the train straight up through the roof of the station.

Then what we thought was the ride start just goes to the maintenance bay?

So the old station becomes the maintenance shed and who knows where the new station is?

I thought the way there mystical plans appeared it was said that the guest pathways were reconfigured but still inherently for guests?

Or could they be doing a Millennium Force thing and have an unload and load station?

You might want to reread this. The leak clearly shows reusing the old DF station with load/unload in the same building. They added a new ramp to run parallel to the existing for entrance and exit.

I'm still confident the graduated lines at the top is for the change of terrain. Looking at the pictures, you can definitely see a drop off.
