sotomexx you should definitely go! I won a similar contest for Verbolten's grand opening. There will be media and dignitaries there, so they normally do it up. The Verbolten event had free food and drinks, a live band, we got free Verbolten swag, and we got to ride as many times as we wanted with little to no line. This event may not be on the same level since that was a long time ago under different owners and it was for a coaster - but I suspect you won't be disappointed.

Was this the night before the grand opening...that party was probably one of the best they have done for a opening. The food was delicious, open bar, and Slap Nation playing. We must have rode every seat in Vetbolten that night.

So no appearance by Kevin, but we did an interview about membership and my son did some height check shots. Some Wendy’s swag, lunch and snacks, and we rode it a few times. Glad I came
That sounds like a really fun morning. I'm jealous

They mounted cameras for POV footage, but they already had enough volunteers. It was a good experience, glad my son got to ride it twice and is not scared anymore

I don't recall if it was the night before or not. I remember it was for a few hours in the evening on a day when the park was closed. There weren't a lot of cameras and media people there. I know there were some influential people in the travel and tourism industry.

Sounds like the launch party/media event. It's basically a chance to showcase the ride and hopefully convince media members and other partners to promote and say good things about it. I was actually involved in that event. It was a lot of fun.

It was great....so thanks for your work on it. It’s funny, I found the stack of pins they gave us that night in the swag bags just the other day.

Anyone what time they are doing the opening ceremony? Debating on running over to watch it.

From the pictures I'm seeing from Instagram so far, it seems the floor doesn't look like concrete anymore. Which is a good thing IMO.
