I didn't feel the need to quote your whole post because I already saw the ride regulations sign in person and a photo of the ride height stick in use. I knew you were wrong about both points but I wanted to address your post from a more abstract standpoint.

That said, since "don't look a gift horse in the mouth" apparently isn't enough...

You are accusing BGW of taking risks that could possibly open them up to some sort litigation risk. If you were a lawyer for the park, that would be reasonable. You're not though. You're a normal, everyday guest. Who are you to tell the park what level of supposed legal risk they should take?

If there was some level of gross negligence that clearly is outside the bounds of what is acceptable in a first world amusement park, it would be one thing. The fact of the matter is that what you are describing is in no way, shape, or form, unheard of.

I have been to many, many parks around this country and can tell you that safety spiels and ride information signs are in no way essential to ride operations. Just yesterday I rode multiple attractions at a well respected amusement park where there was no safety spiel and the ride ops quite literally never spoke to me. This isn't that uncommon.

The idea that it is at all reasonable for someone to criticize the park because a few nice-to-have elements are missing during a soft opening is mind-blowingly obnoxious if you ask me.

As long as the soft opening is presented with a disclaimer (which FF clearly is), I don't see how this is any different than the show previews or event previews that the park has a long history of running.

Also, more importantly to this conversation, FF is 99% done. We can have a discussion about the quality of the finished product, but that isn't the fault of the soft opening.
You know what...you are right. Let me start over.....

Just rode Finnegans Flyer...what a great ride. From the theming, the background loop, to the queue setup nothing could have been better for the soft opening.

I'm going to have a lot of criticism for the ride very soon I'm sure. That isn't the issue. The issue is that you declared it shouldn't have opened in its current state because of some safety reason.

You know after getting to ride yesterday I came here and posted what I felt was a honest review of my experience. When we went through it was pretty hurried and I did not see the sign, infact the photo posted above of the girl with the height stick was standing in the entrance of the qq line with about 4 other team members and we talked to her, at the time she had no stick. The family infront of me asked the woman at the construction wall and they were told the height check was ahead but they were never checked. I posted what I thought would be some helpful info to those looking to ride. But in the end it turned into the same thing as every post it seems where im told my opinion is wrong...I stand by my statement that it wasnt ready to open last night based on my experience. There were other factors as well that I didnt feel needed to be mentioned, things like the egress and marking of that construction wall as a exit. I wont even mention what I heard about BfE yesterday at FF....why post about it when I will just have the fans here tell me its not what I was told.

Anyhow yall enjoy the ride.....I know I did.

First group about to ride. Line is not very long right now. I might be in the 2nd group, but looking more likely to be third.

Looked like the first attempt they had an issue with the restraints. They had to undo all of them and reset. Some of the kinks soft openings work out...

@WDWRLD Man, why are you so butthurt about this? You're not 100% wrong. If things stay 100% the same upon opening day, literally 75% of the people on here, including Zachary himself, will point out the exact same things you have, because by then it's officially open to the public.

Soft openings are previews. They are technical rehearsals. Things aren't done. The ride will go down, more things will be polished in the next week. It's not like they decided to open the ride early and say "y'know what? Fuck the people who're coming on opening day, today is the new opening day. We don't need the media coverage." Soft openings are just the ride itself is ready to operate, so it's a little bonus. There's a sign out front saying that it's in soft opening. Which is more than. Could have been said about Tempesto's soft opening. Where it was basically you had to walk up to the person at the front and ask, or be at there at the right time for them to quietly whisper hey the ride is previewing.

Your complaints are valid complaints, but only if they're claiming it's a finished product, which they are not.

Seems to me that all the safety measures are in place and that the new employees are having some trouble getting into the swing of things(height stick). I personally don’t mind if there’s some finishing touches missing.

As to another comment I think that the very public soft open sign and construction wall nearby would be a clear indication to anyone that reads English that this ride was in fact incomplete and would count themselves lucky to get a chance to ride.

It appears to me that the out side red seat are large rider seats. On on each swing on the outside facing toward Killarney.

You might be right but it appeared to me based on visual inspection that it had more room in it then the other harnesses.

I am little bit on the larger side and I can confirm that there is no more room in those seats than the others. If anything I had a harder time fitting in that seat.

@Zachary so, now that Finnegan's is open what's the protocol on getting this threat moved to attractions from news?
