If you remember the second video which showed a storyboard version of the ride prologue, Addie clearly pronounces the word as "air-uh". So I don't have a single clue as to what's going on here.

It has two pronunciations. Pretty simple. "Air-uh" and "eye-re".

They probably just don’t want people to start calling it “Europe In The Air-uh”.

You know we would. ;)

Well if we didn't before, we damn certainly will now.
Is this a record? The ride isnt open yet and already has a nickname on here lol YESSSSS!!!!

Wow, I didn't think the park would find a replacement for All For One that quickly! The new laser and pyrotechnic show sounds very fascinating. :D

Still a little peeved that they still won't announce the official opening day for the ride though; I know they want to build it up with hype but this is ridiculous. :irritated:

I think they're avoiding announcing the opening day to avoid any misfires due to technical error! Better to do a bunch of soft openings to work out the kinks than piss people off by having an open ride that doesn't work. The only other VR attraction on this scale I can think of (Darren Brown's Ghost Train) was absolutely infamous for "opening" incredibly late and not really running properly until over a YEAR after it opened.

A little birdy told me that the second pre-show room is looking exactly like the concept art we leaked a few months back—large book "screen" and all. Fireplace seems like it is nearly completed too and it's looking great!

question, if they do a soft opening during one of the operating days, how will people know? do they just have to walk through killarney and see if an attendant or other people are walking into the queue?

Correct. I recommend watching social media—BGWFans has a long and prosperous history of tracking soft openings like a hawk. Dedication to #TempestoWatch and #InvadRWatch got me on each coaster's first public ride. I anticipate repeating that success with Battle for Eire.

PS: If anyone ever wants to meet people from the site, #BattleForEireWatch will be a great time because I (and I'm sure a few others) will be sitting around in Killarney for hours. :p

That's awesome to hear! Can't wait to see what it looks like in real life once the ride opens. :D

Battle for Eire is located in Ireland so I think the location for a soft-opening watch should be a bit easier.

This article was posted recently that reveals something pretty interesting. The music will be written by Irish composer Colin O'Malley which will include a full large orchestra, choir and soloists that will be rooted in Celtic melodies. Also all of the voice actors were hired from Dublin, now that's cool.

Authentic feeling for people to say it was fake!

Fun day at the pub on watch for soft opening? Who wants to get some drinks? I'll buy my own round.
