Was IMAscore mentioned at all during the event? Any word on the soundtrack at all?

They used to do monthly videos about the elements of the ride, but I guess since the ride will open soon they stopped doing them.

You're not a true theme park nerd unless you shave your head to increase coaster train speed, like swimmers.

You mean not everyone dresses like this for the park?

The park wrote on Twitter that this was that person's first time trying the headset on.

As opposed to most riders who have never ridden before and will instantly know how to wear them.

I'm most interested in the fact that they are saying that the VR has unlocked the full abilities of the base? I wonder how much it's really going to move, and how much of an effect that had on their choice to close DK.

Because now I'm thinking with BfE having a VR experience that's more intense, and a screened that might be less intense; maybe they solved the issue of DK being too intense then too tame. If that's the case it could have lead to the decision being easier.

Hopefully the slapstick-infused stick figure-based second preshow will give riders the information she clearly lacked.

I feel that there's information in this post that probably should be expanding upon.

That is essentially what we were told about preshow 2 on the construction tour. A stickfigure-based storybook-style projection about ride safety procedures featuring slapstick comedy.

I'm going to reserve judgement, but, honestly, multiple things about that description throw serious red flags for me...

you started to lose me at stickfigure... I did an about-face at slapstick. Gonna be honest, not sure the tech promise on this ride is worth the emotional discomfort of watching slapstick. Seriously, I loath stupid humor... REALLY hate it.

I....I......:runs and hides: I love it.

Slapstick humor, puns, dad jokes....I chuckle like a hyena. That said I would hope for some slapstick humor like you would see in cartoons of the VR set going on wrong and the nose spinning around or stuff like that.

I personally don't mind slapstick comedy as long as it's done well. After the dark seriousness of DarKastle's pre-show, I could only imagine that Falcon's Creative Group and BGW may want something a lot more lighter in tone for this ride.

With that said, I'm reserving judgement until the ride opens.

Why not some clever wit.  What ever happened to turn of phrase or a challenging twist of word?  Why must we lower to the most base of all humor.  I not asking for EVERY ride's pre-show to be a Dorthy Parker-esq romp through a  logophile,s garden, but they could toss out a steam-punk bone every now and then.

I actually love humorous pre-shows. They’re a welcome break from the boring or serious tones of most attractions. The only two funny pre-shows I can think of are at The Simpsons Ride and Men In Black: Alien Attack, but the humor is so refreshing and actually encourages me to watch the video. For example, the “Please keep arms and legs inside the vehicle warning” followed by a depiction of Scratchy the cat’s arm literally being chopped off by the ride, has a much more potent message.

If done tastefully by somebody with a strong sense of humor, this pre-show has the potential to become a Busch Gardens classic, maybe in the same sense that DarKastle’s puns were. But if done poorly, we could be looking at a boat load of cringe.

"You'll soon be getting your just desserts, but I'm getting a-HEAD of myself!". XD

EDIT: And let's not forget if we saw this video from months ago, it seems the first pre-show will be serious as Addie tells us the tale of the Heart of Eire and what the evil Balor has done. I don't know if it's going to cause some tonal dissonance or what but we'll wait and see.

I love humor, especially when added to something like a pre-show. I just do not find wacky high-jinks, bodily or crude humor, fall gags, or any other form of childish humor funny. I find humor that scratches at your intellect, dry, and even dark amusing. Dry English wit, true English wit, not some poor American interpretation of British wit to be funny. For example I found the bickering peasants the older women arguing about the penguin in Monty Python to be good fun, I find Benny Hill offensive.

Let's not talk about London Rocks here please... Pretty please? Anyway, looking at the pictures that were taken during the Hard Hat Tour, I really like how colorful and thematic those hanging leaf lamps are inside the pre-show room. They must look really nice in person.
