Something similar to the wait time clocks at Verbolten and Griffon would be nice. Plus I wonder if they will separate the lines for the "VR" version and the "regular" version.

I would love an estimated wait sign outside the attraction entrance. It is damn near impossible to gauge how deep you are into the endless labyrinth of stone tunnels.

If you get stuck in the queue too long, your insanity is likely to peak. Once that happens, you could try giving the stones numbers (or names) so you don't forget where you are. I think the cave is only 400 feet long. ;)

(Please know I'm joking.)

I personally doubt this will happen however when SeaWorld Orlando dipped their toes in VR with Kraken: Unleashed it did feature a virtual queue system and it wouldn’t shock me if we have something similar to that in Battle for Eire.

Well, apparently SeaWorld is looking at technologies to compete with both MagicBands and Tapu Tapu. As far as I know, Kraken Unleashed was hardly connected to that project. This is along with or part of what the chain has named "Expedition X": a codename for technology research that hasn't been tagged to any one park in particular.

This all falls under their new creative department's "Deep Blue Creative" branding. I feel pretty confident that we will see a lot of their recent developments coming to fruition here.

The park has data about wait times available via the app. All they really have to do now is install signs that display it.

I don't want to derail the thread, but does the app still have that function on iOS? I know you have to be in the park for it to work, but I thought that function was gone.
It’s there but it’s terribly inaccurate

I think it is more about you either wear a headset or not. People in the same room can wear a headset while you just watch the screen.

IKR?? :D

I don't think Corkscrew Hill had this much effort put into the building except for the main entrance.

After looking at the article and the changes the building might go through. I have laid out my full thoughts one by one.

1. The Entry Portal and Marquee are instant improvements over Europe in the Air by means of fitting thematically with Ireland and the fact that the marquee will have special lighting at night is a really good bonus.

2. The Queue may not be drastically changed but having LED lights in between the stone wall cracks and replacing those awful triangle shade lights with those new leaf shades is a nice touch.

3. Nice to know that there's going to be people handing out the headsets to guests that want to watch the VR version of the ride and being in ye old carts with the sign saying "Magical Equipment" is a good bonus.

4. The first Preshow room is already a massive improvement over the generic excuse that EitA had the nerve to call a "boarding station". With the red torches staying, leaf hanging lamps, secret UV paint, dragon banners, a projection on the stone wall with a fireplace syncing with the prologue, and the touch of plant life that reached the ancient castle all gives a great first impression.

5. The second Preshow room is interesting, it's like as if some of the leprechauns use this castle as a secret base. The little doors and windows all syncing to the preshow video is neat touch along with the vertical rising theater doors.

6. The Exit Hallway is a nice little farewell to exiting guests with the above rainbow lights and extra lighting touches that help.

So yeah, I'm crossing my fingers that this closely matches what we're going to see when it opens next spring. Plus it reminds me of the effort the park went into when they designed the queue for Curse Of DarKastle before some of the elements were severely watered down as the years went by. All in all, just for the fact that the park is putting all this love, attention and detail to a VR ride is incredible and it's designs remind me of "Old Country" Europe, which is something that I think the park's been focusing on quite recently. :)

On another note: I just wanted to point out that there has been a lot of negative comments about this ride on the Facebook post by Busch Gardens themselves. Many people are commenting that they hate the VR idea and they are still wishing for corkscrew hill to come back of course. I would just like to state that if anyone from BG is reading this thread which we know they tend to do from time to time, these people are going to regret what they are saying if the actual ride and design is anything close to the effort they put into the ride concept and art work. They truly will be taking back their comments ! I really think this ride looks like it has one of the greatest potentials as a ride since V-bolt and arguably Dark Kastle. I don’t think anyone at BG should be worried and they probably aren’t close to worried as these people are in for a rude awakening about how good this ride actually looks. Honestly i think it has the potential to be the ride that people will love just as corkscrew hill was beloved. Whoever is in charge and spearheading ride design concepts as of late is doing a remarkable job to progress back towards the old country vibe with the exception of tempesto which I’m sure is due to lack of budget and lack of theme in that area of the park .

Sometimes companies and such need to go back to their roots when things seems to be struggling a little bit but i think they are doing just that ! It’s better to be yourself and progress towards the identity that you were built upon. As a young millennial, They old country vibe has a way better impact on me than the modern theming that was starting to take over with London rocks . BG please continue in this new found (old roots) route.
