It's really awesome these people are making great efforts to make sure the lines don't get slow and the headsets being sanitized easily. I do wonder though if the adjustable headsets will fit well with people who wear glasses (me).

It seems very similar to the vr headsets they had at Disney Quest for Aladdin and that lasersword game. Those were not glasses friendly and they had a tendency to pop off your head of you moved suddenly.

Hopefully BG's design is better.

The village is getting some refurbishments, which I assume is routine for an area getting a new attraction (see InvadR).

Which is interesting considering that Oktoberfest got a refurbishment one year prior to Verbolten's opening.

Stock Vive headsets are arguably glasses friendly, but you don't typically need to wear them because of where the internal display is placed. I'm nearsighted and I don't need my glasses when I use the Vive. My guess is that it will work with glasses but might not be very comfortable. If the plastic part works with your glasses, you should be fine -- luckily you'll have time to test it in line! Modern headsets definitely aren't nearly as heavy and chunky as the 90s VR systems, so at least it won't put undue strain on your glasses.

The village is getting some refurbishments . . .

Please provide your evidence of village refurbishments. I have yet to see any changes in the village (minus the walls in front of the ride entrance that exist only to display pictures and information) and I have yet to hear any official word or announcement from the park that changes to the village will be made.

While I personally do not doubt village refurbishments will occur, it should be noted nothing has happened yet, and no official word has been offered by the park. Statements like this (without evidence) is what has turned the Madrid thread into a large pile of crap.

Considering the park is currently open for an event and that Ireland is a hamlet at the moment that focus on shows, merchandise, and eateries I imagine they wouldn't work to start preventing them from receiving profits during an event with already less attractions than the normal season. Also, I imagine the changes won't be anything super significant similar to how Tempesto impacted a few areas in Festa such as the Entrance Plaza, Gift Shop, ETC yet Festa still remains the same in most places.

And if they are doing renovations to the village, it's most likely going to be small and subtle. I would like the original name of the toy store restored, Kids ShamROCK is downright silly.

I was making a point in that people should not post blank statements about things as if they were definitive, when there is no evidence or proof to support such a claim.

Like I said, I would not doubt there will be some minor changes to the village; however, they may not be any at all; and no one should be jumping to conclusions immediately.

I only said "refurbishments". A refurbishment is a very general term that can mean as little as "new paint". That is the case here. Comparing my observations of new paint to baseless speculation on an unconfirmed attraction is way out of proportion.

All that can be seen so far in the village are minor cosmetic changes such as newly-painted and rethatched roofs, as well as the removal of several vines.

^Right. In the future, I will post this type of thing in the Killarney thread so as not to confuse anyone. I was pointing out that most villages tend to receive touchups with new headliner attractions. I was just using InvadR as a recent example.

On a more related note, what about that music that I posted earlier? Will BGW be kind enough to put it on iTunes? I somehow doubt it, unless corporate orders them to do so.
