Okay, Balor and Sluagh looks really cool and creepy and I do like the design of Ollie (cute name for a dragon), with his Celtic symbols and markings on his skin. Not so sure yet on his "strong and silent" personality, but maybe it could work as a neat off-set with his and Addie's personalities.

In the video it seems there's magic portals in order to smoothly transition from scene to scene. Pretty clever Falcon's Creative Group. ;)

Here's a link to the "characters" blog update on the official website.

Can I just comment on how much I love the music. I don't know if it's just stock trailer music or part of the ride's score, but it's dramatic, adventurous, mysterious, and magical all at once.

I really hope it the music is part of the attraction. It perfectly captures the mythical charm of "Old Country" Killarney.

The more that comes out the more I love it.

As per the title conversation much earlier; the more they get into the story the less 'insensitive' I feel it becomes, which is why I didn't get too worked up for it.

Mostly because the alternatives based on the story and what they want to depict the alternates could have been "Battle for the Heart of Eire" (which is too long) and "Hear of Eire" (which doesn't get the journey part across).

I just can't wait for this to open.

The park has a lot of love and faith on this new ride that they are putting a lot of effort into everything. Music being one of them. :)

Oh and Addie's voice actress sounds really good, she seems into it just like the voice actors in DarKastle.

Awesome! Simply awesome. Soo happy BG is utilizing VR properly with this attraction. I could never decide what seemed dumber to me; trying to make a bad coaster good with VR, or bogging down a great coaster with VR. Can't wait to see more and eventually ride.

Trying to make a bad coaster good by far. A bad coaster is bad no matter what.

Bogging down a great coaster with VR (Can't think of one it's happened to yet) can easily be reversed.

Can't wait for the first coaster designed to have VR from the start.

Kraken was a very good coaster.  My understanding is that the VR was not an improvement.

I've never been on Kraken but I wouldn't argue if people say it's good. I would guess the "best" coaster I rode with VR would be Superman the Ride....and I'm not a huge fan of it.

I'm not a fan of the "conversion" of a roller-coaster to VR because it screams like a lateral move. Thank goodness that BGW was smart to use VR into a motion simulator which I don't think has been done at a theme park before.

Yea. This is going to be the best application of VR if you ask me. I hope it encourages other manufacturers and parks to do ground up VR as opposed to retrofit.

I guess technically this is "retrofit", but being a motion simulator they can really make it like ground up by doing the VR part first, then syncing the movements after the fact.

I think if anyone wants to do a VR coaster right, this will be the way. Come up with the story, do the graphics in conjunction with the ride manufacturer, then build the ride.

I dunno, I was hoping we would get Grover's VR Zombie Apocalypse Choo-Choo of Justice during Halloween at least.  Two laps around the kiddie layout and lots of gore, bad language, and nudity in the headset.  No Sesame Street theme in any of that, just to be clear -- save for Grover desperately swinging a blue machete while zipping around the sky in his cape and knight helmet.

But the ground-up Ireland story sounds like a nice crowd pleaser too.

I hope you guys are right where the ride VR video will be done first and then the simulator movements will be made afterwards because that seems to be a smarter idea. Usually it is the VR that's made to fit with the ride movements and not the other way around.

I hope we'll get a huge behind the scenes video next year explaining how the ride will operate.
