This has gotten me so interested that I made a speculation as to what the pre-show/ride of Battle for Eire might be.

We enter the building and as we wait we hear sounds of something flying and various creatures sounds to a nice Irish soundtrack. We then get our VR headgear (or choose the standard version) and enter the main room all decked out in old Celtic artifacts from long ago and the castle's old interior appearance proves that. We finally make way to the waiting room where we see the image of a vast field with the peaceful Irish music playing and the sounds of animals that are part of the atmosphere. Then Addie the Fairy shows up, and introduces herself as the last fairy guardian of the Heart of Eire which is the source of all the magic in her homeland in the Otherworld and of Ireland itself. She tells us that she is the last of the fairy guardians because the raging battle took the lives of those who protect the Heart against the wicked Lord Balor, the demon cyclops from the Underworld who wants the Heart for himself which will cause life/magic to wither away from both worlds. But she has not lost hope, for she and her dragon companion Aaron have lured us to the castle in hopes that we can help them stop Balor and save both the Otherworld and Ireland from his evil. She guides us to the other room where "three leprechaun brothers will assist on how you can help me and Aaron for the battle ahead", she leaves, but there is an uneasy feeling that Lord Balor was watching this and the torches in the castle room lights up and the doors open.

The three leprechaun brothers Paddy, Liam, and Seamus introduces themselves as the "guides and assistants to anyone willing to enter the invisible dimension of the Otherworld and join the fight against Balor and his monsters". They state the ride rules and have some light humor about it, they warn of Balor's powerful dark magic and wants us to do whatever we can to protect Addie. As that ends, the brothers use a magic spell to open the doors to the ride room. We enter the room which is decked out as a ruined Irish castle, sit down, put on the virtual reality headsets that transports us to the magic, beauty and wonder of the invisible Otherworld and waits for Addie and Aaron to show up.

Addie shows up with Aaron who welcomes us to the Otherworld and jokes about how they lured us with old Celtic magic that "no one uses except for Clancy". Addie suddenly hears a thunderous rumble and fears that Lord Balor has found out about the plan, she gets Aaron to take us on his back and the adventure begins. As we are riding on Aaron, we look around in awe and wonder of the Otherworld and it's fantastical grandeur and natural beauty; but all of that has quickly turned scary and dark by Lord Balor's magic who shows himself and all of his terror. Addie proclaims that he will lose the battle but he laughs and summons banshees and other various creatures that can fly to throw us off of Aaron who is doing the best he can to dodge them. We escape and head to the great castle where the Heart resides. They quickly get inside but Addie tells Aaron to wait here for he is too big to fit inside the small hole which fairies use to get to the main chamber, he jokes about that. She then uses her magic to "shrink" us to her size and given us flight powers to follow her in the dangerous dungeon which is filled with all sorts of traps to guard the Heart. After a harrowing journey deep in the castle we find the Heart of Eire is safe and sound but Lord Balor has appeared and ready to take the Heart away, but she and us combine our own magical powers to turn Balor into stone and is defeated. Addie and Aaron thanks us for being there to save their world and our own, Addie says her goodbyes and hopes that "the luck of the Irish shall always be with you". She uses her magic one last time to take us back home and with that, the ride ends.

Maybe there's going to be more to it than that, and it's always fun to speculate about an upcoming ride that one awaits (like I am). I hope you liked it. :)

EDIT: Or due to the press release, it may be about the journey Addie and Aaron takes from the Otherworld to the Underworld to rescue the Heart of Eire from Lord Balor who stole it and hidden it inside his castle which is filled with all sorts of creatures and traps. That can work too.

So here's a good question: what do you all want out of Battle of Eire when it comes to the ride itself?

The walls are made of pre-made concrete sections sections that were placed in a metal building built on a concrete deck. That structure is attached to the back of the existing buildings until it reached the new buildings behind the restrooms. The sections were obviously set at all angles in the hallway, then theaming was added for continuity.

What I want personally out of Battle for Eire is that the ride surprises us by being the best ride the building has ever had and to be the best it can possibly be when it comes to thrills, visuals, theming, story etc.

On the website it said that they will give us monthly updates, which shows the park's obvious excitement for it just like when InvadR happened. :)

I wonder if it seems the VR goggles will be attached to the seats is so each one is uniquely synced with that seat.

For example, when the sled tilts, one size rises while the other lowers. With seat specific syncing, the rider will see the appropriate movement.

Would such level of syncing even be noticeable to the rider? Even if it isn't noticeable on a conscious level, it could help reduce incidences of motion sickness.

According to the "Chapter 1" video there is a storyboard that shows that the VR goggles are attached to the seats so I'm going to assume that the syncing will be seamless as it can be.

How about an Eire walkthrough environment that you can grab for your Google or Samsung goggles at home?

$2.99 to d/l and now you have an Eire environment puzzle walkthrough.  Not the same plot as the ride, but maybe a Land's End style tribute to the Mysts of game eras past.

Include some visual elements of the d/l game in the queue, maybe.

Like this, but set in Ireland and featuring a different style of puzzle challenge...

So who do you think will compose the music for Battle for Eire? Personally for me, I hope it's Gary Lensenmayer because of the great work he has done for BGW and he is very talented that he can do anything. :)

Dan Rudin is really good. He and Gary Lensenmayer have worked together many times, but I love his orchestral scores for SeaWorld. I would also like to hear from either Kubilay Üner, the composer of Corkscrew Hill or Colm Ó Foghlú, who has worked on every main-season Irish show from Irish Thunder to Celtic Fyre. Kubilay creates very distinct soundscapes for any theme, but Colm is definitely a good composer for traditional Irish dances.

It would be amazing ride history continuity wise if Kubilay did the music for Battle for Eire after he did such wonderful work on Corkscrew Hill. Though for the 360 epic beauty that the new ride may become, I personally think it would be perfect for Dan and Gary to compose the music together; think about how grand and breathtaking that score could sound like.
