It was a great ride.  Good mix of turns and air time.  Maintains good speed though out the entire ride.  It is a great family coaster which seems to be target for this ride.  My kids loved it and enough thrills for the adults too.  This really fills a gap in the parks offerings for the kids bored by the Grover coaster but not quite ready for Nessie or Verbolten.  Plus smooth enough that my wife will ride.

In my opinion, it may be a "family coasting" but is almost as thrilling as any of the other coasters in the park to me. It has the wild, out-of-control feeling that you'd expect. And after it's running for a while, it gets faster (the rails and the wheels (but mainly the wheels) heat up as more heat=less friction). It's a fun ride.

Night, day, front, back, middle. I loved the ride no matter where or when I rode it. Amazing pacing, great bull like airtime, and best of all it feels like how a woodie should.

^^^^ This. I think InvadR is up there with the steel beasts. Family height without sacrificing thrills.

I loved the ride it packs a huge punch for such a small ride without being overwelming for the little ones. The drop reminds me a lot of Nessi's drop in that while it's huge it feels quite thrilling and the combination of twist and airtime hills with continuous speed is really fun.

Despite a lot of technical difficulties tonight, InvadR is fantastic. I expected it to be good, and it doesn't disappoint at all. Despite its size, it provides one of the best drops and some of the best airtime in the entire park. Like Verbolten, InvadR feels like a true sleeper hit in the park's collection.

After riding front, back, and middle, my current opinion is that the front is slightly better overall because of the wild airtime it provides throughout the course. The first drop is superb in the back though, so that makes it a close race overall.

Regardless of where you ride InvadR though, it is a winner. Best woodie in the state by a wide margin in my opinion and, honestly, another great addition to BGW's stellar collection.

My girlfriend and I were in the first public train last night.  Since I basically camped out since Saturday, I am please with that result.  To be honest I have grown jaded and bitter in my old age and frankly I expected this to be slow, overly smooth, boring, and in general dumbed down.  (this fear was made worse when they "fixed," the statue.  (he was cut down before his prime.)

I was wrong!  So very, very, very wrong.  Meri and I got the second to back seat on the first train.  We were shocked by how good it was.  I was of the mindset the top tunnel was just dumb.  It still is ugly and dumb, but it works.  You go from dark to a flash of light then another bar, then another flash of light and then right back into dark.  It is actually a bit disorienting.  As it has been stated the drop competes with Nessie.  (She still has the best drop in the park because of Nessie magic)  The turns throw you around as they should and the helix works.  (IMHOP most do not).  The bunny hops work well.

So last night I rode second to back, back, and front.  There was a noticeable difference between second to back and back.  The hill does feel half done in the front, but the pops of air are more pronounced.  The back did also get a bit more whip in the turns so I disagree that the only advantage to the back is the drop.

All things considered, as is usual, the back is better especially if you are a straight drop whore like me.

That all having been said, I did not feel like I was getting ripped off by riding in the front.  In, what I find unusual circumstance, the front had it own advantages.  If I could only ride once in a day, I would pick back.  But if I could get more than one ride, I might go up front once.  (I have NEVER said that before)

One last thing, and I can not emphasize this enough, it FEELS like a woody not like a B&M that happens to have some wood. It does feel out of control in places, it does careen around corners, and it does throw you around.

So was it worth sitting in New France all day since last Saturday listening to some of the worst music in the history of man on a loop...  Yeah, I think it was.  Still I am bitter that I did not get first in line...  (that is a whole different story.)

I have been asked by 4 different people now how it stacks up against the other woodies in the state. Over all, and it REALLY pains me to say this, I think it is the best. HOWEVER that is an overall best, I think some other are better at certain things.

Drop - Rebel, hands down.
Bunny hops - Rebel
The feeling of complete, "this thing is coming off the rails," sensation - Grizzly.
Running backwards - Rebel
Pacing - Invadr

One word of caution, I have only ridden on Bear, and it has been my observation that Dragon can only carry 3 people.

BLUF
I am a Grizzly fan boy.

It is a different kind of ride then Grizzly. That being said, Grizzly feels more out of control. There is a sense of complete out of control on Grizzly. Invadr, while spry and peppy does not feel like it is going to fly off the rails. No it is far more civilized.

As I said earlier, all things considered Invadr is better, but like most things it really depends on what you are looking for in a coaster.

After the mass confusion that went along with the "first riders" event, I ended up having a ton of fun. Being apart of the invasion was fun and unique. I was assigned to hold one of the many flags while approaching the stage. It was a great experience, fantastic day at the park. For me, this ride was worth the wait.
