Legal or not, this thread is starting to derail. If someone wants to talk about the morality of visiting a park under the influence of whatever, either start a new thread in the appropriate sub forum or discuss it in an appropriate thread.

Back on track, I wonder how well InvadR will age in a few years. Thoughts?

I'll say depending the type of steel used it could last for a longtime or have to be replaced in a couple of decades. Does anyone know whether it rivoted or welded or a combination of both ?

It's really all going to depend on how well BGW maintains the track. I am trying to not let Gwazi influence my thinking since BGT's team and BGW's team are not the same people. So I am hopeful that it will age just fine. Plus, noone wants a perfectly glassy smooth ride on a wood coaster anyway.

Comparing the maintenance of Invadr to Gwazi is night and day. As I previously said, Gwazi's all wood structure in a hot and humid year-round climate sitting in the blistering sun and running PTC trains for a decade caused it to deteriorate. Invadr will run GCI's Millennium Flyer trains from day 1 and the way those run on that track will call for minimal maintenance compared to running PTCs. Another advantage Invadr will have as opposed to Gwazi is that the entire coaster is well below the treeline which will give it great shading from the sun.

Anyone know what they mean by a "special sneak peek" of Invadr? Maybe they will do a Q&A session for the coaster with park reps?

Odds are its a mini construction tour. Probably allowing guests to go thru the queue line to get a closer look.

I was scrolling through my instagram feed and saw something about #project2018 on Colonial Coasters page so maybe that's what the "special announcement" could be here's the link: https://instagram.com/p/BRPBuVThxjq/ notice how it mentions March 18th

The most interesting thing about that map is that it doesn't say "Opening Soon," "Coming this Spring," etc. like all previous such maps with upcoming attractions I remember off the top of my head. I still don't think we are looking at InvadR opening with the park, but I also don't think it is out of the question. This bit of circumstantial evidence may suggest its debut could be closer than the park keeps suggesting though.

That Pottery spot looks like its new, but what I really notice is how close the Invadr climb is next to Le Scoot.

I really like the log wall built around the ride's plaza (the President would be proud), except I'm not a fan of how boxed-out Caribou Station looks. It looks cut off from the rest of the area.

Also, notice there's some sort of large trebuchet-like prop illustrated near the entrance to InvadR's plaza. Looks like some massive theming spilling into the pathway!

Haha, I believe that's a battering ram.

I'm really glad Invadr is moving the New France area, at least a little bit in its own way, away from Canada and towards old northern Europe. I'm torn because New France has been around so long but it's never made any sense to me. Maybe somewhere down the line, a decade from now perhaps, the area will become Scandinavia.... Perhaps not. But anyways, the ride looks great from what you guys have posted.
