There is also the fact that this is the first POV and since the ride is slated for construction soon, this means that this video is just a first draft and that there will be changes in the future. So don't lose hope people!

I don't post here often however I do follow this forum very closely, and WOW is this a major dissapointment. Even the mock-up pov trevor bondi posted on youtube was more official than that POV. GCI is not delivering (never has with BG), My hopes are that the terrain integration helps this coaster. Regardless the layout doesnt look smooth or sleek. The turns look mediocrely placed and dont bank in the right places.

In my opinion they really messed up not going with RMC. It didnt even need to go upside down, they could of just let it have over banked turns. (which would really just be the equivalent of BBW as a woodie)and thats what they set out to replace. I also feel like RMC respects terrain better in recent builds. Like most of you I do not want to completely destroy my hopes for this ride but as for being the best woodie in VA I strongly feel like Grizzly will be keeping its crown. I want them to revote the name to Invaded or Yieldr.

I just watched the video. It seems OK. I'll have to wait until I ride it to see how I feel. But it had me thinking... Are we done getting big coasters at BGW? This now marks the third tame/small/family coaster in a row. I'm not complaining but I'm kind of itching for one of the regional parks to install something awe-inspiring.

I am neither impressed, nor am I really disappointed. I do agree with with what some have said about marketing for this ride. I think they were probably feeling the heat from new management, and decided to overshoot the hype for this one.

It almost seems to me like the park is trying to build up their coaster profile, while ignoring the high standards that they used to have. KD used to be known for this. Now could be a chance for BG to play catch up.

Not going to lie, I am not thrilled by the quality of the video, but then again, the park is not buying a movie. The ride looks fun to me, it has an honest drop and some airtime. If I wanted inversions I would ride Alpie.

It looks fun.

While I'm not the biggest fan of the layout as it seems almost dull I'm still excited. Those airtime hills look like they could deliver some great airtime which could completely change my opinion on the ride. Many times before I have witnessed a POV and been underwhelmed but to then some day ride it and have a completely different opinion.

Before riding Manta at SWSD and watching the POV I thought the ride looked like meh to me. I eventually was blown away by the experience. The forces on the ride were amazing from the glorious airtime to the sensation of my body being flung around on the turns. Manta at SWSD while the stats are small and the ride itself seemed so so and ended up in my top ten list of coasters.

The POV can't capture the experience of the ride. Until I'm leaving the station of InvadR I won't know what the forces on the ride will be or the sights and sounds that come from this new coaster.

So I like it, but I'm still unsure.

So, I mispoke earlier and said Fur Dozy's video when it was TrevorBoni's. I just played them side by side and Trevor got the layout down perfectly. I think his transitions are a fit smoother than GCI's transitions but for the lost part the two are pretty damn close.

It's a decent interpretation, but it's just that...a computer generation.

I think it will be better than what we see here. The animation doesn't interact with Le Scoot, the terrain is invisible, and until whoever does Cedar Fair's animations shows up and does InvadR, I can't say we have a really good feel yet. It's no El Toro, Wildcat *insert bigger wood coaster here* - but I think we are jumping the gun just a bit.

Let them build it and then we can frown all we want, but I can't tell you how many animated coasters I have seen that exceed expectations in the flesh, my favorite Busch B&M's included...

To be fair, if done right, my version would have a great mix of ejector air, floater air, and snappy transitions. If done wrong, it would be super rough and painful. For Busch's first woodie this is a safe bet on the comfortable side.

This should be a pleasant® coaster.

The terrain is there. It just doesn't hug it at all. I will go through the trees if you like that though.

So, it seems to me that there are two very distinct conversations being conflated here.

1. The POV, itself. Specifically the lack of accurate terrain in the video. (Seriously? Mountains?)

2. The coaster. Specifically, what people think they can tell about the ride experience from watching a video game version of the track.

It would probably behoove people to keep the two issues separate, and to be clear about which they are writing.
