RE: Project 2017

60' feet may not seem like much and like you said that's all they have filed for so far. Could be taller. But lets say it is 60' tall, you can certainly do alot with that. In comparison the Scooby doo at kings dominion is 35' tall but goes 35 mph so it very much is possible that it could be something notible. Also it does have height, but what about speed? I'd hate to say it but BG has been on a rampage with launch coasters it seems like. Maybe this could just be another one? They do seem to be the most popular among guests. Alot can be done with a launch coaster and only be that tall, also due to the terrain. Actuall if the blueprint that appears to be to small for something big actually kinda shows a possible footprint for a launch coaster, I wouldn't be a long ride but its something. With the terrain it could very easily at one point hit a max drop of 120' pending the location of the drop. Maybe it could be a launched woodie of a smaller scale?

RE: Project 2017

We could see the first launching B&M flying coaster. Busch has been known for its one of a kind rides so could we be seeing the old side of Busch? The drop they reference in the video may be to throw us off. I could see a pretzel loop going under the road and not exceed 60'. The pretzel loop on the Superman Ultamate Flight models are under 80' so with a trench, we could see the max hight at 60'. Thunderbird proved the launch concept on a B&M. However unlikely is is, it's not out of the question.

I'm still betting on a spinner. It just doesn't look like there is enough queue to hold a huge crowd.

RE: Project 2017

I was saying that 60 feet can do alot. The terrain in the area of the park for which this ride is to be built is quite hilly so the coaster could possibly have a max drop of about 120 feet. There was a "light blueprint" that showed were the track would be and it fit a launch coasters blue print. Because Buschgardens can't have wooden roller coasters because of the golf course located in front of the park it would only be logical to build one it the back of the park (which it appears it is going to be built in the back of the park in the France area) Also I have just found out that Buschgardens still holds 2 patents that were used to fool guests into thinking what is now "Griffon" to be the new Rollercoaster name for that year. They hold a patent for the name of "Voltair" which is quite funny because Voltair was a FRENCH philosopher in the late 1700s and early 1800s. Funny how the ride is shown to be placed in the France area of the park. Buschgardens also holds a patent for the name "Iron Eagle" (after searching that up, the "Iron Eagle" is symbolic of Germany. The "Iron Eagle"was a term and symbol used by the nazis to represent power) So I think its safe to say the 2017 ride will NOT be named Iron Eagle. though it does sound cool it would be abit racist bilut for now I find it safe to say that the new rides name shall be called Voltair. I called it on here

RE: Project 2017

@fur dozy do you have anything I can type in manually on YouTube to come up with the video? It is directing right back to this page. Also a few more correction on the information I put out about the patent Voltaire. Voltaire was born in late 1600s and lived for a good while into the 1700s. Also other that a philosopher Voltaire wrote plays, his most famous, Oedipus was about the gods so if this were indeed the name id like to expect some solid themeing. FINAL PREDICTION, Voltaire will be the name of the ride, and will be themed to the "gods" or Voltaires accomplishments almost like tempesto. The ride WILL NOT BE A SPINNING but instead will be a launched woodie that will not excess 60 feet tall with a top speed of about 60-70 Mph. Fur dozy I'd love to see that video if you could give me the YouTube channel. Thanks #Voltaire2017

The only other company that wouldn't break the sound barrier would be an intamin woodie but its just not ganna happen. 2017 is the year Busch gardens gets a woodie and according to buschdominion the project is to be 25-35 million. I just feel like the evidence is there already. You just need to think hard. If you watch part 2 of Busch Gardens teaser you will notice left to the main image. A station that is located on the back part of the log flume. It wouldn't make since to build a massive ride with 200+ feet and try to hide it. If your going to put it in the woods you don't want it to be seen.

RE: Project 2017

You do realize that Kingsmill is between the park and the river, right? It's not across the street from the park. This plot of land is literally the closest you can get to Kingsmill from in the park. It will not be a woodie. That land (Caribou to the project limits) is only about 400ft in length, anyways. Nowhere near big enough for a woodie like you seem to be sold on. (And Intamin? Really?? Something tells me you've never heard one of those things go over an airtime hill...)

Well I'm sorry for not exactly knowing where a golf course is, I'm just having some fun man. Intamin clearly isn't going to be it. And from the interstate you can see it is located ahead of the park. I am sold on a woodie because I makes sense tbh. Only if it were a launch, which would be unfortunate considering the past two rides were launchers but I feel that it could work. Getting launched 60 mph then slamming 60 ft would provide crazy ejector airtime. At those speeds on an rmc launch would be insane! You can do 90degree turns in 60 ft,overbanks, ejector humps, barrel rolls if needed. If Busch Gardens is going for a woodie this sounds legit. Also RMC are extremely more quiet than any other type of wood coaster. As shown on hot rod they aren't running metal wheels on metal track, the ride type on hot rod are supposed to be more quiet than your average steel coaster.when you look at all the parks around virgina there isn't 1 truly notable wooden coaster around. Other than this idea I'm kinda screwed. I prob wouldn't go. Unless that apparent height limit gets lifted were no looking at anything massive or "world class" like Busch gardens is doing. Think about it, they spill all this money 2017 on a custom spinner so then we have to wait 4 years to get another ride because they decided to put a mcnugget in the park instead of the whole chicken

Just to be clear, if the park doesn't use your impossible idea, you won't visit? Interesting.

I'm not saying that I just threw the idea out there as a resemblance to what I expect. I'm a KD fan boy because they have i305 without i305 the park would suck. I continue to go week after week just to get a solid laugh on it. Busch gardens isn't even close to having a coaster that can half but match up with the intensity. There isn't a singe ride that makes you tear or gods you back in your seat. I305 set the bar for me. I've ridden 6 of the top ten coasters in the u.s. And I305 is just there for me. I find the downward helix on verbolten to be the most intense part of any ride at BG. Honestly, in order for me to go to BG this year they have to add a 50+ mph coaster and 100+ft high. Those are low expectations. A spin is isn't going to do it for me.

50+mph and 100+ feet high and ill go, those are low expectations. A spinny isn't going to do it
