RE: Project 2017

Looks like it will be a building going in behind the flume. Not looking like a coaster.

...or could it be a coaster with a few event buildings? The square footage on the buildings seems small

I would say these plans are a total throw-off, but there was that 60ft balloon test behind Festhaus, and these "plans" say "HEIGHT OF ATTRACTION NOT TO EXCEED: 60'"...

Wasn't that the height of Verbolten's indoor section? Pretty sure these are not exact plans for 2017's ride.

RE: Project 2017

Most of the pages are deliberately obscured, and the clear ones don't look like an attraction to me.

In this post http://bgwfans.com/2016/location-of-project-2017/ , Zachary says the plans in the first video are from the Le Scoot pool refurbishment.  I think I see some of that in here.  He also mentioned some refurbishment of other parts of New France - I suspect that is what we are seeing.  Either "Fake" plans, or plans for building upgrades/flume refurb/etc.

Of course, there may be something informative buried in all that, but nothing jumps out so far.

RE: Project 2017

Honestly, I don't expect them to just throw the plans out just like that so, I am 75% sure that these aren't the real plans.

The attraction layout itself isn't in these plans, this is just a basic application to develop the area highlighted. Anything more specific is probably listed elsewhere in the documentation.

Unless they decide to have it interact with the existing rides (which would be very expensive), I wouldn't think there's enough room for a woodie.

With such a small foot print, low height, and similar location in regards to the train as Cobra's Curse, I'm seriously expecting this to be a spinner.

RE: Project 2017

I love the marketing for this so far! However, the 60' height thing is really lowering my expectations, even if thats just to throw people off.

RE: Project 2017

Personally, I would love to see Mack spinner. Something small-ish to bridge the gap between Grover and Bolt. (Although a CC-size ride would be nice)

The basin of LeScoot does have a rather large footprint. I'm thinking the redoing of itight have been part to support footers better than the old basin.

A spinner isn't the only coaster that could fit that footprint. A Euro Fighter could easily go there as well.

Exactly. The firm who developed these plans, VHB, is simply just a land development and transportation firm (for the most part), so these are obviously just site plans. The only real information you'll get about the coaster would be from the structural/architectural plans.

RE: Project 2017

After riding El Toro, I'm really wishing it was an Intamin prefab. BGT has had two recent rides from them and Intamin is very slow stateside these days. That said I don't see that as a big possibility. RMC could also be a possibility. Perhaps a contingency/bundle deal with Gwazi. I have yet to ride a RMC but I imagine they are pretty great(I am a sucker for ejector air).

P.S. I dont consider the topper track worthy of the "wooden coaster" name. Seems like a cop out imo.
