RE: Project 2017

When is the pass holder preview day again? It's been a while since any info/new teasers were released...

RE: Project 2017

Pass Member Preview Day is Saturday, March 19th.  The park actually just posted the 2016 Fun Tracker, which we have summarized here.

You can discuss the park's event calendar and new map here.

They did confirm that new information about Project 2017 will be shared that morning.

The park is getting ready to put footers in, near Le Scoot.
I wouldn't assume those are for Project 2017, actually. The information I have seen has not specified footers, it is just filed under concrete laying. This could very well be just finishing up of the concrete basin replacement, or something else which I will address later in the Le Scoot thread.

Whether or not it is footer work now would be the best time to do it. If any of Project 2017's footers pass into Le Scoot's basin they are going to have to rip out and relay concrete they've already laid now. Coupled with the low ridership of Le Scoot this time of year it would make the most sense to do it now.

Busch just released another video teaser for the project. Looks like it's simply just leading up to the pass member preview day reveal, based on the video description: "The plot thickens as Dan goes to new lengths to find more information on Project 2017. Find out what Dan found on Pass Member Preview Day March 19."

It might be worth noting that there is a book on the bookshelf with the word Mack on the spine.  And the Larry Giles sign seems to be intentionally covering the rest of the spine to isolate that word. And the camera spins a couple of times...

Solved it...

Picture of Larry Giles showed a date of May, 1988. This is when he started working at the park. It's also when Avalanche opened at Kings Dominion. Avalanche is a Mack ride. A bobsled ride fits the theme of the area.

Project 2017 is a bobsled coaster. You're welcome.

RE: Project 2017

Anyone see the saw from Lumberhack in the corner? I feel like that was put there on purpose. Also the Roland Mack: King of Fun book and Mack 225th anniversary logo hidden behind the Larry sign leads me to belive that Mack will definetly be involved in Project 2017.
