RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

I am curious to know if capacity can be improved on these PM LIM's. If the park green-lights one of these, I would hope Premier could deliver a modified train design, perhaps wider/longer to allow more than 12 riders. It seems this is possible looking deeper and deeper into the design schematic for other existing LIM's.

Again, so many unknowns, but these trains look configurable to a maximum of 18 riders, which is still low.

I would much rather prefer a Giant Discovery or something to that effect, but this "lattice" diction is a major throw-off...

Superman Ultimate Flight clone is confirmed. Looking at the plans now. More soon.

Update: Our work in progress main site post can be found here: http://bgwfans.com/2014/busch-gardens-williamsburgs-project-2015-revealed/

It's a shame that we couldn't get, you know, the actually *good* Ultimate Flight (AKA a B&M flyer).

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Any guesses on the theme, if that's still a thing at BGW? I'm guessing Icarus, which could be kinda cool, and mirror Apollo's Chariot (AC being a GOD, and this new ride being a kid with wax wings on his back).

I don't know if it helps with the theme discussion at all, but the ride's entrance area has a massive five pointed star on the ground.

I try to stay optimistic but this.... I might be okay if it's well themed and a quiet addition but if they market the crap out of it I really will lose hope with the park.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

From what I can tell, it will have a single loading station- no sliding station similar to the two Mr Freeze coasters as was speculated could be a possibility earlier. In other words, we're looking at identical capacity as the two existing clones. Read: Abysmal. I posted a much more in-depth version of my thoughts on the capacity of this exact model here for anyone who hasn't seen it. It's also worth noting that the expected hourly capacity of Colossal Curl is higher than the capacity of the two existing clones of the coaster we're getting in 2015.

Is it confirmed for 2015, because it seems that they should be preparing by now?

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

From what I an tell, not a single tree survives this addition. Queue is literally right next to Apollo's queue line. Both Jumping Jupiter Arcade and the Coke Market stay. That should give you an idea of how crammed together everything is.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Do you mean that this will impact the scenic trees on Apollo's Chariot?

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

No, I mean it will decimate them. I seriously don't see a single one left in the site plan.

If this isn't a flat ride I will personally spend an entire day marathoning Europe in the Air with selfie picture updates after each ride. I'm not even joking. Bookmark this post.

I'm essentially 100% sure it's a flat ride.

I see a EiTA marathon in Zachary's future..

Everything about this screams 'bad idea'. Placement, capacity, visual impact, environmental impact, absence of uniqueness. I'll ride it, and then every time I see it from the parking lot coming in, I'll laugh at it.
