RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

Chuck E's Kiddee Coaster would be of higher quality than that.

God forbid, but could it be an (probably up charge) slingshot ride??? Very carnival like, dosent take much space, lattice structure, would match the pic of the peak point.
While that does seem like a possibility, I really hope not. I always feel like those are tacky, and (selfishly) they hold very little interest for me. But who knows, it does fit the carnival feel that Festa's got going right now. I'd rather have the Zamperla, even though I'm not particularly jazzed about it.

A slingshot ride would not fit in that space.

Coming from someone with a slingshot in their home park, they take up less space than a Screaming Swing.

A cash grab ride? Sounds like a current park move to me.

But lawds, I hope not...

In the seemingly unlikely event this was a coaster, IF positioned correctly, and IF Busch decided Premier Rides was worthy, something similar to Sky Scream at Holiday Park/Superman Ultimate Flight(themed to Festa spec) is quite interesting:

The reason I think of this is because of the height approximation graphic from awhile back:
http://wydaily.com/wp-content/uploads/2013/10/BG-attraction-height.jpg

I say this is because the yellow marking in the photo above shows a height that is higher on one end than the other, and you can see in the coaster model photo from Premier that the left side is higher than the the right, and most of these examples from them top out at 150ft. The middle of the ride where you invert would serve as the 156 foot climax. The lattice-style tower structure that has been mentioned is there as well. The footprint is fairly linear and narrow, so aside from a queue line, it's not a massive undertaking. I know it may be strange to imagine something like that abutting AC, but we thought the same thing when Griffon came in between Loch Ness and Alpengeist.

I'm not one for massive speculation, but some things jump out at me about this concept...after all, its would the first of its kind in VA/East Coast, intense enough and interesting to view, let alone ride, that it fits the bill of an anniversary ride in my eyes.

Though this will likely turn out to be the Zamperla that Zachary mentioned :), it would be great to see the park turn out some magic for this concept.

An excellent point. And you aren't the only one to suspect that.

...!

If I remember right Premier was on the table for Verbolten before Zierer got the green light.

Just to point out, if Busch was paying any attention to other parks who installed these, they would see attendance figures of these venues increased soonafter completion. Full Throttle at Six Flags and Superman Ultimate Flight both drew large crowds and are highly regarded. The stats of these rides add up fairly well to what we have heard, but it's still just as likely to be a themed flat.

Alas, I am not getting hopes up, as my Zamperla Swing senses are still tingling as my interest wanes...:-/

This actually fits some of the things I've heard, and thus I throw my support at it.

Discovery Kingdom's last coaster before SUF was Pandemonium in 2008 (which got moved elsewhere). Magic Mountain can't really be compared since it's expected of them to have a new major coaster installed once every 2-3 years (Tatsu 2006, Apocalypse 2009, GL:FF 2011, Full Throttle 2013). I mean it's great and all that they're good rides but something was either long overdue or expected for both of these parks. SFMM is actually LOW on attendance compared to other parks. In the 2012 attendance numbers they were beat out by BGW, Hershey, Cedar Point, Kings Island, AND Canada's Wonderland. For a year round park it's consistently pulling numbers well less than half that of Disney's California Adventure.

I would love to have this coaster, the only bad thing is that it is a clone that would not be anything special. I know Griffon was a clone, but griffon has an extra loop. It would be a great addition, but I don't know if they'd make a clone.
