RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

Well, I heard trains and the size of Groovers but larger and bulkier. I never heard coaster exactly, but I don't know what could fit all these specifications so far.

Zachary, any guesses as to what type of flat?

This is what my money is on right now. There are other options as well though.

And BTW have you now wagered your life on BOTH EitA and Pompeii marathons??  lolol  :)

Ha, it seems I have. If both conditions are true, I guess I'll be doing both. Like I said, I'm basically 100% positive we're getting a flat ride in 2015. I would be shocked and amazed if that wasn't the case.

It's good to see we're unanimous on the quality level of this new ride. :p

If Swifts predictions are right, WOW is all I have to say...

They need a thrilling addition... A couple S&S air launch towers perhaps?

If Mach Tower goes I could see this happening, but right now the only park with two seperate drop towers is in Gothenburg. Right now though I'm throwing my hat in Zach's bin with it being a Zamperla.

RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

Hey, I was at BG on Saturday and from what I saw it was operational all day!

RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

I was referring to Mach Tower a post or so back.

RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

I really could not be any less-enthused to see a Zamperla swing here. Seems to mimic our already iconic swing flat we have had for decades (though smaller), and the mention of trains of some sort is interesting, but honestly confusing.

We need a doorbuster for the 40th. A Zamperla swing seems like a cheap interim installation from Cedar Fair after they get a 300+foot giga the previous year, not a "BG" move. It's funny, because I don't even know what to think of our beloved park anymore...where are we going with the rides of the future?

The crowd needs to be wowed next year. I would barely bat an eyelash at a Zamperla swing, no matter how well-themed. :-/

RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

They just spent more money building Verbolten than on Alpengeist and Apollo's Chariot combined, and to little benefit. You really think they want to spend the money to "wow" people next year? I know there's better cheap alternatives to a swing but they obviously spent way too much money too close to their anniversary.

This thread just got moved to 'important'... Is that foreshadowing a leak Zachary?

RE: Project 2015: 156ft Tall Festa Italia Attraction

Nah- it's supposed to be there- they become unstuck from time to time for one reason or another and we have to stick 'em back up top. Nothing terribly important right now.
