RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

There was a decent wall of trees foresting in the Apollo's Chariot side of the hamlet. Festa doesn't have to be themed to a parking lot to make sense, you know.

I prefer KD quite honestly. It's not as bad as you guys make it out to be. It's currently on the rise, and BG is going downhill.

Anyways, back to complaining about trees.

Doesn't Reece spend more time at KD?  Maybe he prefers asphalt and the unimpeded sunlight?

Ha- I don't even think KD has an area as unshaded as Festa. :p

Those trees really did not shade anything except by the lockers for Apollo's and maybe the water balloon game that I noticed. Personally I don't see much shade in Festa period. In Apollo's exit is the shadiest spot I know of. In front of the entrance the trees provide some shade but not total sun blocking out shade. Also the only other spot I think of is in between the Coke Shop and Trade Winds. Otherwise, what shade are you guys talking about?

It doesn't Joe. You are correct. It's only competition is within the same park, and that is Forest of Fun. Which is the polar opposite of 'forest'...I'm thinking #funchallenge! (Who can survive in FoF in line for rides with my daughter the longest? :) )

Okay, as standing Parkfans Shrubbery Critic. Festa has a considerable amount of shade. It doesn't have the most shade in the park, but it isn't a desert either. When comparing it to other areas of the park, Aquitaine has a lot less trees and shade, same with Banbury cross, Forest of Fun, and Killarney. It's about tied with Rhinefeld, maybe just below Oktoberfest, or tied with it. New France, Heatherdowns, the Wild Reserve, and San Marco all have more shade.

Most of the trees cut down provided little shade to the main pathway area. Out of the whole area, they kept one tree, which is located in between Jumping Jupiter Arcade, and Roman Frieze. There was one tree located in between Splashus Maximus, and the Coke market, that provided much needed shade to the main pathway, but that's the only tree that really made a difference in the shade on the pathways. Let's just hope they plant trees in the area after construction. With that said, we sh'all see.

RE: Project 2015: Premier Rides Coaster for Festa Italia

Trees have occasionally been known to be good for the environment at times as well. I see the shade as a useful by-product, but I do see the argument for wanting to keep as many trees as possible in an amusement park for the purpose of shade. For a company that wants to be pro-environment it would seem to me that whey would want to keep as many trees as they could simply for that reason.

The ride is already half way built, saw it driving past today.

Newest rumor is that it will be open in time for the event next weekend. That's why Carl's speech is so short. No need for words, you'll just go ride it!

Are they still telling their staff that our site is full of it?
